Note: From the poll, the scene at the end will not change. I'll work on the last chapter of The Sea of Monsters next. Also, I made some changes to the canon text (Underlined).
The gods froze, their jaws practically dropping.
"That centaur is a son of Kronos's counterpart?" Shiva murmured, eyes wide.
"That... that makes him related to the Greeks!" Ra-Horakhty exclaimed, blinking in disbelief.
The implications hit them like Zeus's thunder. Chiron wasn't just any centaur from another world—he was Lady Rhea's son, making him the brother of Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, and Adamas.
"That means he's a sibling to you Olympians," Buddha added.
The Olympians went rigid as the truth settled in.
Zeus slowly leaned back, eyes wide before a stunned laugh escaped him. "Ho... ho? Another brother? From another world, no less? I thought I had enough surprises, but this is another level."
"Another son... how wonderful! It's like a gift," Rhea said with an emotional smile.
Hades looked thoughtful. "So the centaur carries our mother's blood. He is family. I will accept him as my brother."
"I will too. He is family no matter what world he comes from," Hestia said firmly.
Hera's eyes narrowed, disbelief and old resentment mixing in her gaze. "Kronos creates sons even beyond our world now? Hmph. If he truly honors Rhea and protects children, then I will tolerate him—but do not expect affection."
Poseidon stiffened, his trident aura flaring faintly. "A centaur... my brother?" His jaw tightened. "Tch. As if I would ever accept him! Zeus was already enough of an eyesore!"
Apollo blinked, visibly shaken. "Chiron? A centaur as my uncle? That is quite... unbelievable."
Artemis folded her arms, silver eyes sharp. "He trained heroes with discipline and honor. If he carries Mother's blood, then it explains his nature. Still... a centaur uncle will take time to accept."
Ares scoffed, leaning forward. "Hah! A Titan-born horse as my uncle? If he's really our kin, then he'd better know how to fight. Blood alone doesn't earn respect."
Aphrodite touched her lips softly, intrigued. "How tragic and beautiful... a child of Kronos choosing wisdom instead of tyranny. There is poetry in that."
Dionysus snorted, swirling his wine. "Great. Another traumatized Kronos relative in the family tree. As if our reunions weren't awkward enough already."
"A centaur born from Kronos's blood? Fate really does twist families in strange ways," Hephaestus said with a frown.
Hermes rubbed his temples with a crooked laugh. "You're telling me the horse professor is my uncle now?" He sighed. "Our family tree isn't a tree anymore—it's a maze."
A son of Kronos's counterpart... no, not just that—a son of that damned father. He is kin whether I like it or not, Adamas thought.
New Title on the screen:
The Chariot Race Ends With A Bang
"Are they actually doing that race again? What if those pigeons attack again?!" Zeus exclaimed.
"Or worse monsters than those pigeons," Hera added, frowning in concern.
The power couple's words made everyone uneasy, especially Poseidon.
We arrived in Long Island just after Clarisse, thanks to the centaurs' travel powers. I rode on Chiron's back, but we didn't talk much, especially not about Kronos. I knew it had been difficult for Chiron to tell me. I didn't want to push him with more questions. I mean, I've met plenty of embarrassing parents, but Kronos, the evil titan lord who wanted to destroy Western Civilization? Not the kind of dad you invited to school for career day.
