Chapter 129
Wov Mansion
Rain battered the tall windows.
The storm outside pressed against the mansion like something alive.
Inside-
Heavy and suffocating silence.
Zatariel lay motionless on the bed, his breathing slow but uneven, as if even in sleep, his body refused to rest.
Anita sat beside him.
Margery stood a few steps away, one hand pressed beneath her nose. A thin line of blood slipped past her fingers, staining her sleeve.
Her magic had drained her.
Completely.
Zatariel had fought it-
Every spell.
He had screamed for Miexha until his voice broke.
Until his body gave in.
"...He's asleep now," Anita whispered.
Her tone was soft.
"That's all that matters."
Margery swallowed, her voice trembling.
"Mother... you should at least-"
"Leave it."
Anita didn't even look at her.
Her attention never left the boy.
Slowly, she leaned down-
And pressed a kiss against Zatariel's forehead.
A mother's gesture.
Warm.
Gentle.
And yet-
Something about it felt wrong.
"Sleep, my king," she murmured.
Her fingers brushed through his hair.
"The world will bow to you soon."
A faint smile curved her lips.
"The girl you love... will be yours."
Margery's breath hitched.
"The throne of the new world awaits you."
Margery stepped back.
Her hands trembled.
She had heard that tone before.
Late at night.
Whispered through locked doors.
What once sounded like ambition...
Now it sounded like madness.
Anita rose slowly and turned toward the window.
Lightning split the sky-
And for a brief moment, her reflection stared back at her.
Not entirely human.
Her eyes glowed green.
She remembered.
Centuries ago-
A quiet conversation she was never meant to hear.
Between Sarah and Damian.
Their voices carried through the halls like fate itself.
A prophecy.
"When the daughter of stars meets the blood of wolves...
a new world will rise from ruin."
Sarah had spoken of hope.
Of peace and salvation for their children.
Anita had heard something else entirely.
Power.
Lightning flashed again.
Her face was illuminated-
Sharp.
Divided between devotion and something far more dangerous.
"You will marry her," Anita whispered, her voice barely above the storm.
She turned slightly, her glowing eyes settling on Zatariel.
"And when you do..."
Her smile deepened.
"The stars will kneel."
"The earth will kneel."
A breath.
"And I-"
Her voice dropped into something darker.
"-will reign above them all."
"Mother..."
Margery's voice cracked.
Afraid.
Anita turned.
Slowly.
Her eyes glowed an unnatural green, piercing through the dim light.
The candle beside the bed flickered-
Then died.
Darkness swallowed the room.
The storm roared louder, as if answering her.
Margery stumbled back, her heart pounding violently in her chest.

Teaser for Golden Melody Reset
Will they begin again…
Or were they never truly finished?
That was the question.
Then—
The school bell rang.
Inside Wayne Academy, a boy lazily spun a pen between elegant fingers, gaze distant yet calculating.
His uniform was slightly disheveled—careless, but never unrefined.
His hair fell perfectly imperfect, as though effort had no right touching him.
His name tag read:
Zatariel Wov.
He sighed softly.
"Another group project… with brainless clams. Wonderful."
Beside him, a girl stifled a delicate cough, pale fingers clutching a silk handkerchief.
A faint flush colored her cheeks, fragile yet dignified.
An emerald hairpin glimmered against her soft hair, and the subtle scent of cherries lingered in the air around her.
He glanced at her.
She glanced back.
Eyes met.
And the world… paused.
As though time itself hesitated, recognizing something it had seen before.
"Miexha Verra," the teacher called.
She rose gracefully, smoothing invisible creases from her pleated skirt — the quiet elegance of someone destined to be cherished, yet stronger than she appeared.
Their gazes met again.
And this time… they smiled.
Because beneath the ordinary rhythm of school life, in a world unfamiliar yet strangely known, something awakened.
A melody only two hearts could hear.
A golden thread, pulling them closer—
once more.
Golden Melody: RESET
Coming Soon.
Was this truly the present…
or the future they once dared to create?
Either way—
Love never disappears.
It simply rewrites the story.
Author’s Note ✨
Yahallo, Intras, Hybrids… and some of you suspiciously hungry readers who might be Zenips 👀
Please don’t make me your dinner if this sequel doesn’t meet your expectations.
I am all bones no meat. And probably under-seasoned.
Golden Melody: RESET exists mainly because my dearest friend lovingly pressured me into writing a sequel that has nothing to do with the original.
…Well. Not entirely nothing.
Let’s just say I planted a few tiny connections here and there — like breadcrumbs leading to emotional damage.
If you notice them at the end and whisper
“oh… so that’s how it connects…” and then proceed to cry anyway…
Yes. That was intentional.
Still, please don’t expect too much from this sequel.
I am, after all, a writer deeply afflicted with Second Male Lead Syndrome.
If there is a tragic, soft-spoken, morally-black haired man standing quietly in the corner…
Just know I am already emotionally attached to him.
You have been warned.
Anyway — Have fun reading! 💛
Wait… wait… don’t start refreshing yet —
Golden Melody: RESET will be posted next week, so stay tuned!
And maybe prepare tissues.
Just in case.
