So, in this video, did I just say video? Sorrrryy, #VlogHabits. So, in this chapter I will be doing a locker DIY. I'm basing the DIY on my locker, so hope you like it! (Yasss, that's my locker ⬆️)
Is your locker really, really small? Well, don't worry, mine is also really small. But, I found a way to make it totes fab, but super efficient. So, when you are in a hurry, you can grab your books but catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror. So, let's get started!
1. Choose a color for your locker, will all my stuff be pink? Purple? Sky blue? You choose. Mine's pink.
2. Next. Do your stuff get dirty, because the locker is dusty or rusty? Chill, the solution to that is easy! Get a locker rug, or a rug depending on how big your locker is. If you can't find a locker rug, try looking at Target, or if you are in Asia, Japan Home, Justice or Daiso.
3. Get a locker shelf, you can find one in Target, too. If you can't find a locker shelf in any store, try telling the sales lady that you just want a shelf. That did the trick for me. Anyways, back to topic, once you have a locker shelf, you can decorate it. Mine was plain white, so I put washi tape (did I spell that right) on the sides. Then, I covered it with another locker rug.
PS The locker shelf should have a little space on the side so you can squeeze in some of your books.
4. Get your class schedule. It it plain text on ordinary paper? Solution: get washi tape and stick it to the edges of the class schedule. Then attach 4 magnets on all the sides. Stick to the back of your locker.
5. Now, assemble an emergency kit (I go into detail in prev chapter). Put this on top of your locker shelf.
6. Beside your schedule you may put a gum container. LOL, one time I opened my locker and a friend saw my gum and asked for it. She got mad at me that I didn't give her any.... Because the gum container had money inside it, not gum!
7. Moving on, for the door-like-thingie part of your locker, just get a cheap mirror and attach magnets behind it. Put this in your locker. You may also put magnetized lip balm underneath/behind it
8. Get Post It's and stick it on to your locker.
9. Now, we are about to get DIY technical here, so read carefully. Get wooden clips, and paint them. You can use spray paint or nailpolish. If you use nailpolish you can put intricate designs. Then attach a magnet on the back. Ok, that wasn't so DIY technical as expected. 😅
Tah dah! Your locker is done! And, if you want, (I did) you may decorate your lock by painting on it with spray paint and nailpolish. Toodles!
