IT WAS FINALLY THE END OF THE SCHOOL WEEK, FRIDAY! MATTEO ONCE SAID, "Fuck school! I'm gonna finish this before the D-Day!" to Marinette, who's asleep on her bed that currently has been woken up thanks to him screaming early in the morning.
He arrived at the bakery last night, saying he wanted help to decorate his leather jacket that also comes with his costume. It's not exactly the replica of his super suit, but he using how he visioned Chat Noir gave him inspiration to do it his style.
Yes, Marinette helped him with whatever he needed on his costume. Although once the clock strikes midnight, Matteo ushered her to go and sleep while he works. And that leads to where they are now.
"Did you even sleep..?" She grumbled as she wipes the drowsiness out of her eyes.
"A bit! Here, how does it look?" His sleep deprived eyes bloodshot as he showed it to her while walking down the stairs. She immediately scanned it with her expert stare, so he can finally take a deep nap.
Like he said, fuck school.
Marinette's eyes widened as she took in Matteo's DIY Chat Noir costume. The leather jacket was adorned with intricate designs, and the mask added a touch of mystery to his already-intense gaze. "Wow, Matt, it's...amazing. You really outdid yourself."
The boy beamed with pride, his exhaustion momentarily forgotten. "Thanks, Mari! I couldn't have done it without your help. You're the best."
She smiled, her eyes still a bit heavy from sleep. "Anytime, but now, seriously, go to bed. You look like you're about to collapse."
Matteo nodded, yawning widely as he stood up the chair. "Yeah, you're right. I'll just rest for a bit...before the D-Day."
As he zombie walked towards her chaise then fall back with with instant snore, she couldn't help but chuckle at his antics. She shook her head, smiling, and began to tidy up the living room, still cluttered with his costume-making supplies.
Her phone rang, she opened the screen to see Alya calling her. "Goodmorning Alya. How's your sleep?" The bluenette placed her phone between her shoulder and her ear, still fixing her table.
"It's alright, cause it's finally Friday! How did it go with him?"
Marinette peeked behind her, smiling as his loud snores reached to the other side of the phone. "It went well, and as you can hear himself sleeping soundly." Alya laughed. "Yep, I can hear him from over here. I know it's still early, but is he coming to school today?"
"I don't think so. He's been up since I woke up."
"No way, really?"
"Yup."
She heard her sigh. "Then I'll see you soon at school. I'll let you get ready, call you later!" Marinette hummed before pulling out her phone away, setting it on her desk when it's clean.
Another pair of big blue eyes observes her from the corner of the room, watching her get her clothes as Matteo stayed still. Red trail followed when the small creature flew to get a closer look at the bluenette—its figure hesitant to come forward.
Despite being hidden, Marinette placed her bag on the matted floor slowly. Because she needs to know if its what her best friend has been talking about, a kwami.
She never saw one before, but she knew about them thanks to Matteo.
The girl stopped breathing to hear any signs of twinkling sound, like a fairy in the story books. "My parents said that I should be friendly with anyone, no matter what they look like."
