Ch. 2

They sat down for dinner and introduced themselves. Emma found herself much like Callie and looked down at her food. She hated being like people but it's whatever.

A few months ago, Stef and Lena got a contractor and made a new room just incase they had to foster anymore kids. So Emma just so happened to luck out.

After dinner, Mariana gave Emma a tour. Emma went into her room and sat on the bed.

Stef knocked and walked in. "Hey, you okay? You were quiet during dinner."

Emma nodded. "Yeah. Callie and I are a lot alike. Always being tossed around. Messing things up. Even some personal stuff that I'm surprised she mentioned."

Stef nodded. "Yeah. But it will get better." She hugged the young blonde.

"Maybe." She rubbed her arms.
"My birthday is in a few weeks. October twenty second. I don't want anything."

Stef chuckled. "You are getting something."

Emma smiled a bit. "Thanks."

"For what?"

"Just being here... Again. I've missed you."

"You have?"

Emma nodded. "Yeah. I was always hoping you would be back to save me and here you are."

Stef smiled. "Yeah. Well it's my job. Don't worry."

"What does everyone call you and Lena?"

"They call me mom and Lena mama. But you don't have to."

Emma nodded. "Okay. Can I go to bed now? I mean I do have school tomorrow, right?"

Stef nodded and kissed Emma's head. "Night, princess." She never called anyone princess before but she wanted to call Emma something. They had a bond and it was easy to see. But anything can ruin that in any given moment and Emma knew that. Stef got up and left, only to have Lena walk in.

Emma sighed and looked at the other mom, waiting to hear what Lena had to say.

"I'll be taking you to school, late. We just have to fill some paper work out in the morning. It will be okay. Who knows, maybe one day, you'll actually be apart of this family. It all depends." Lena explained.

Emma nodded. "I understand." She covered up and Lena kissed her head before leaving. Emma took a deep breath. She really don't want to go to school. She didn't want to do anything but sleep all day but sadly, she couldn't. She had to go to school and face people she hates.

'I'll just be a loner like always' Emma thought to herself before falling asleep.

She just wanted to go away for good but she knew Stef would just save her life again. She could never be able to repay Stef and she hated that. But Lena did say that maybe she will be apart of this family and she really couldn't mess it up again. But hey, things happen that we just can't control so who really knows what's gonna happen?
