A month after their kiss, Emma and Regina had been spending more time together. Emma told her foster moms that they were dating and they took it really well. Emma and Regina even spent Emma's birthday and Halloween together. On Halloween, they went as a couple, the sun and the moon. They are surely opposites but they make a cute couple. Everyone at Anchor Beach supported it. They were the perfect couple, everyone said it.

It was November, the weather started to get colder but Emma never really minded. She liked the cold. It didn't really bother her. She was with Regina at Regina's house. Regina's parents didn't really know that they were dating. The brunette didn't really know how to say it. Of course she was a lesbian and her parents knew but telling your parents that you had a girlfriend can be tricky and make things awkward. Regina threw away that picture that was on the fireplace of her and some other girl kissing. She didn't like it. Emma should have been the one she was kissing.

"So, Emma, Regina has been telling us that you are having an art show coming up." Cora said.

Emma nodded. "I do. My family is coming. It is the first time I'm actually apart of an art show. I love drawing and painting. It's so much fun. It gets your head off of things a lot. It's like jumping into your own world for a while to escape the horrors of reality." She bit her lip and sighed. She knew too much horrors. Especially when it comes down to the foster system.

Cora just nodded and served then her famous lasagna. Emma smiled. "Thank you, Mrs. Mills." She took a bite. Regina watched as everyone ate. The brunette loved admiring her girlfriend.

Meanwhile, at the AdamsFosters, Lena and Stef were discussing Emma's adoption. They were planning on telling Emma on Christmas. They knew that it would make Emma really happy. They really wanted Emma as a daughter. There was plenty to go around, as Brandon said.

After dinner, Emma and Regina headed outside. Regina led Emma into the back, in the woods. There was a secret waterfall that Regina discovered when she was younger. Regina pulled Emma over near the water fall, it was sparking in the moonlight, lighting up Emma's face beautifully. Regina sat down on a rock and Emma sat beside her.

"Emma? Can I tell you something?" Regina asked.

Emma nodded. "Of course."

"Well... Emma... The first time I laid eyes on you, it was perfect. Our eyes met and it was like you were the only one in the world. I wanted to kiss you but I couldn't. But that's not the point. Emma, you are so beautiful and amazing. This past month... It has been really amazing and I love spending time with you... I..." She stopped and let her lips connect with Emma's, feeling a spark as always. "I love you." She smiled brightly.

Emma smiled. She couldn't say it back, not yet but she knew she felt the same. She felt bad about it but she just wasn't ready. She just put her arms around Regina's neck and kissing her girlfriend. It was all she knew what to do right now. She loved Regina's lips. She loved Regina in general.  There was nothing that could tear them apart. Emma wouldn't let it happen. Not ever. She was Regina's forever.
