2 - PE Peril

After lunch, Taurus and the other GT kids had elective classes, which weren't actually elected. They were music, art, and PE or Athletics, in that order. The only elective that the kids could actually choose was PE or Athletics, and most of everyone chose PE. Physical Education was supposedly easy, and the coach was always really kind to the gifted kids, so everyone joined that class. Still, during PE, Taurus noticed that Cancer was heaving and sighing a lot, as if he was struggling to run across the gym. Taurus had always been a decent runner in her old school's cross country team, so running wasn't hard to her, but something told her that the lap wasn't as difficult as Cancer made it out to be.

After all the kids had run their lap, Taurus caught up with Cancer. He was panting, tired for sure. "Why not I help?" Taurus asked. Cancer looked at Taurus pleadingly. "Put your fingers together and put your hands behind your head. Breath out slowly. Like this."

Taurus demonstrated, and Cancer followed. He began breathing slower and slower, until he looked better. "Thanks!" he said with a nod in Taurus' direction. "How'd you know that?"

Taurus shrugged. "My old coach." Cancer nodded and smiled. They walked in silence for a bit, until Taurus broke the silence. "So, where are the jock dudes and the makeup girls?"

Cancer tilted his head questioningly. "Jock dudes and makeup girls?"

"Yeah! That dude who looked like a jock who was the loudest in Math, his skinny friend, and those two girls who were putting on lipstick!"

Cancer nearly burst out laughing. "You mean Aries, Leo, Saggitarius, and Libra!"

Taurus raised an eyebrow and said, "Air, Leo, Sage, and, Library?"

Cancer laughed again. "No! Aries, Leo, Saggitarius, and Libra! Saggi and Lib are the makeup girls, and Leo and Aries are the jock dudes!"

Taurus smirked. "You GT kids really do have weird names, don't you?"

Cancer snorted. "I don't think I've ever heard of a Taurus or Cancer, have you?"

Taurus smiled. "True, I guess!"

Right then, Gemini jogged up to Cancer and Taurus and said, "Hey guys! Y'all finished with the lap already?" They nodded. "Sweet! Did you meet everyone yet Tau?"

"Tau?" Cancer asked, smirking.

"Yeah, Tau!" Gemini exclaimed. "Tau-san, like Piscy would call you!"

"Piscy?" Taurus asked.

"Yeah! That's my nickname for Pisces. She calls everyone their name with a -san at the end. Not sure why though. I've heard it has something to do with an anime show she watches. And yes, I have nicknames for everyone. Leo is Lele, Aries is Aiai, Saggitarius is Saggi, Libra is Lili, Cancer is Cancan-"

"You know hate that name Mini!" Cancer whined.

Gemini giggled. "Well too bad, Cancan! Anyways, then Pisces is Piscy, Scorpio is Scorpio cause he doesn't like nicknames, but-"

Taurus interrupted Gemini. "Wait, who's Scorpio? I know the others, but...." She trailed off.

"Oh!" Cancer said brightly, holding up a finger. "I can help there! I don't know if you saw him, but Scorpio is the one who was leaning against the wall in math. Chances are, he was chewing gum, like always."

Taurus nodded. "Cool! So what about that girl who's always daydreaming?"

"Oh, you mean Aquarius!" Gemini said. "Yeah, she's a bit....different. But I mean, she's really nice and super creative. Earlier this year, for the Winter play, Piscy and Aqua painted the set and it was just...." She closed her eyes and smiled, remembering.

"Oh." Taurus said. "What about those glasses kids?"

Cancer and Gemini looked at each other. "Oh, you mean the Nerd squad!"

Taurus frowned at the two. "That's not very nice, y'know?" She squeezed her eyes, trying to shun away the bad memories.

Cancer laughed. "No, no, that's their nickname for their own group! It's only those two, Capricorn and Virgo, but they are hoping Mini, Pisces, or me will join them. Maybe they want you to join them some day?"

Taurus frowned and shrugged. "I don't know. They don't seem like my type." Taurus frowned and turned away. She didn't want to remember.

Cancer noticed Taurus' change in demeanor. He reached out to put a hand on her shoulder, but he was interrupted by Gemini. "Uh, I'm gonna go find Pisces. Cancer, you come along." With that, she pulled Cancer away, Taurus looking at Gemini run off with Cancer. She wondered what made Gemini so stiff suddenly, while she had been so happy-go-lucky the whole day. However, these thoughts only lasted for a little bit, since she was diverted by her own secretive thoughts. She shunned off the thoughts and walked the rest of her lap.

After PE was over, the girls went into the changing room. Taurus walked in quietly, not bothered by anything. She took her time, tying her hair, changing into her clothes, and putting on moisturizer (she had sensitive skin). Taurus was spraying her body spray, when suddenly, someone pushed her against the lockers. The person pinned Taurus' shoulders against the lockers, keeping her from escaping.

Taurus opened her eyes, one at a time, to reveal a snarling Gemini about 10 inches from her face. Her teeth were gritted, and she was snarling. She didn't seem as kind or happy anymore. She growled at Taurus. "Stay. Away. From. My. Cancer."

Taurus, breathing heavily, muttered, "Uh......."

"You cannot hang out with him, or I will personally come find you, stick a knife through your heart, and kick your body into a ditch. Understand?"

"Uh......"

"Yes, I know I'm acting rough and tough like Aries, and I'm trying. Now I need a proper reply. Understand?"

"Uh......"

"DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!" Gemini screamed.

Taurus nodded. "Sure! Just let go of me already!"

With that, Gemini let go of Taurus. "Great!" she exclaimed with a smile. "Now I've gotta go find Piscy. She's probably outside. Bye, Tau!" She smiled sweetly and waved goodbye to Taurus, skipping out of the locker room as if she had not just completely burst out at Taurus.

Taurus was now the only one in the locker room. Frazzled by Gemini's odd mood swing, she stuffed everything into her locker and shut the door. Then quietly, she walked out of the locker room, knowing that the two friends she thought she had would not be her friends anymore.

My BFF is a Gemini and she acts a lot like that, so I based it off of her, but you tell me how it was! I also tried to add a bit of drama with Gemini and Taurus in the locker room scene there!
