The drive to the Kim Mansion was a blur. His grip on the wheel was tight, his jaw locked. The moment he stepped into the house, he didn't hesitate.
With one swift motion, he grabbed the nearest vase and hurled it to the ground. The shattering sound echoed through the grand living room, glass splintering in every direction.
Seconds later, Mrs. Kim rushed out of her room, eyes wide with shock.
"Taehyung! What are you doing?"
Taehyung let out a slow, amused smirk, his gaze dark as he turned to face her. He stepped closer, his presence suffocating.
"Where is he?" His voice was eerily calm.
Mrs. Kim tensed. She knew exactly who he was asking for, but she refused to speak.
"Tell me, mother," he said, his tone now edged with venom, "before I make this worse for you."
She swallowed hard, her hands trembling slightly. "Taehyung, please—"
"You know what, mother?" he interrupted, tilting his head with a cold smile. "Tell your sweet husband that this is the last day he'll be smiling."
Mrs. Kim took a step back, her breath hitching at the sheer malice in his words.Taehyung's eyes bore into hers, merciless and unwavering.
Then, his voice dropped into something deeper, something chilling.
"And when I'm done with him, he won't even have a face left to wear that smile."
A sharp gasp left her lips, her face going pale.
Taehyung leaned in, his smirk never faltering. "He thought he could play god, didn't he? Pull the strings, decide who gets hurt, who suffers?" His expression darkened.
"Let's see how he feels when I pull the strings. When I make him beg for mercy that will never come."
Mrs. Kim reached out as if to stop him, but Taehyung stepped away.
"Enjoy the peace while it lasts, mother," he said. "Because by the time the sun rises again, this house will never be the same."
Without another word, he turned and walked away, leaving behind only the sound of his mother's shaky breath and the broken glass at his feet.
Taehyung stepped into the hospital room, expecting the quiet hum of machines and the steady rise and fall of Ria's breath.
Instead, what greeted him was the sharp clash of voices.
"I told you, I'm not leaving her alone—" Mr. Park's voice rang with frustration.
"And I told you, she needs rest, not people hovering over her like bodyguards!" Mrs. Choi shot back, arms crossed.
