Ria's voice trembled, the anxiety evident as she darted her gaze around the room. "Uh...Guys, how does he know?"
Her question, laced with unease, hung in the air like a thick fog. The weight of it settled over them, cold and suffocating.
Everyone's eyes shot to her in shock, fear flickering in their expressions as realization dawned. It was Suga's phone that had tipped them off - someone was listening.
Taehyung was the first to react, his body tensing with urgency. "Shit," he cursed, his jaw tightening as he processed the situation.
His voice came out sharp, cutting through the silence. "Hyung, check for any microphones or cameras around the room!" He was already moving, his steps quick and precise. "Now."
There was no hesitation. Suga, Jhope, and Taehyung began tearing through the room, searching every corner like their lives depended on it - and maybe they did.
Taehyung's eyes swept over every surface, every hidden space. His voice echoed in the room, urgency mixed with an edge of fear. "Check behind the paintings, under the chairs, anywhere something could be hidden!"
Ria, still near the desk where they had been standing earlier, knelt down. Her fingers grazed the edges of the wood, tracing carefully along the surface.
Her breath hitched when she noticed it - a faint red light flickering from behind the desk.
"Wait..." she whispered, her heart pounding against her ribcage. Moving toward the source, she pulled back the desk's edge to reveal a small, inconspicuous microphone. Her heart nearly stopped.
"Found it!" Ria yelled, holding the tiny device up for everyone to see, her voice filled with alarm. The room fell into an unsettling silence, the gravity of what they had just discovered sinking in like poison.
They had been compromised. All of them.
Suga rushed over, snatching the microphone from her hand. His face paled as he examined it, eyes narrowing with barely contained rage.
"Damn it..." he muttered, the realization settling in. His voice was low, almost a growl. "He's been listening to us this whole time."
The horror of those words hit them all like a tidal wave. Taehyung ran a hand through his hair, his face dark with frustration. His mind was racing, thoughts a chaotic blur, but his next move was clear.
"Hyung," he said, his voice low but commanding. "Give me your phone."
Suga didn't hesitate. He handed his phone to Taehyung without a second thought, trusting his instincts. Taehyung switched it off immediately, the click of the power button cutting through the silence like a death knell.
"You guys need to turn off your phones too," Taehyung ordered, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Jhope and Ria exchanged a glance before both reached for their devices, doing as Taehyung had said. The tension in the room was suffocating, every breath heavy with the weight of the unknown.
