Liam
I turn my back the second Addy walked out the door, scowling at the floor at Drakes words because as much as I like the dude, he's a big fucking gossip.
"So," he says the minute Adds is out of sight. "How long has that been going on?"
I act like what he's saying is no big deal and start to clean up the snacks that Addy and I were eating on my little coffee table. "What the hell are you talking about? We were just watching a movie and talking about our lines and scenes together."
Darke plops down on my couch, kicking his feet up on the coffee table annoying the shit out of me. "Mmm, sure, lets go with that."
I kick his feet off the table, "There's nothing to go with. That's the truth, end of story."
He holds up his hands as if trying to ward me off. "Alright, man."
My eyes narrow at him before I clean everything up and turn to lean against the little kitchenette counter to stare at him.
"Don't be starting shit Drake. Addy and I are friends and now more than ever we have to go over our lines more and I have to make sure she's comfortable with everything that is happening."
Drake lets out a small laugh raising my hackles. When he sees that I'm scowling at him he stops and grows serious. "Listen man, all I'm saying is, you can't keep eating where you shit alright? Otherwise you're going to be affecting all of us."
"I don't know what you mean. Like I said before, Addy and I are friends. She's actually more of a friend to me than you are."
"Ouch," he clutches his chest and I roll my eyes. "I just don't want to see you go down the same rabbit hole you did with Ava. Especially now that the showrunners changed who your love interest is and Ava is throwing a damn fit about it."
That gets my attention. "What do you mean?"
Drake shakes his head. "She's been complaining non-stop to anyone who will listen about how the show is going to go to shit now that your characters aren't together."
I let out a breathy chuckle. "That's hilarious considering the ratings skyrocketed on the season finale last year and Addy and I were trending. The showrunners said themselves that they switched directions because the fans were going crazy over us being together."
He throws up his hands again. "I know, dude, I'm just telling you what Ava is saying. She keeps talking shit and wanting to take it up to the top. Saying how she's going to make her agent change things. It's just causing a lot of drama and I don't want shit to go south on set. We've been lucky that we all basically get along, I don't want to start dreading coming to work every day."
I let out a sigh because I get it. No one wants a ton of drama on set, we already get enough of that when we're acting. "Yeah, I get what you're saying but nothing was going on with me and Addy so don't start shit."
"I'm not." I narrow my eyes at him, knowing that Drake likes to spill shit to people. He's horrible at keeping secrets and keeping his mouth shut so for him to have saw Addy with her shirt backwards and me shirtless I know for sure he's got some concocted story in his head that he's just waiting for the perfect time to spill. "Dude, I promise, I won't say anything. I'm trying to keep the peace not start the war."
"Yeah," I say moving toward him to kick him out, "let's keep it that way, now get out."
"Ah, man, come on. No tacos?"
"Nah, no tacos. I got shit to do."
"Oh really? Like what? Or should I say, who?" Drake mocks as he steps out of my trailer.
"I'm telling you right now, shut the fuck up."
"Alright, alright. Fine. I'm done. No tacos, party pooper. I'll see you later."
"Yup," I say just before slamming the door in his face.
I throw my hands in my hair, before taking a deep breath. Drake better not say shit unless he wants a punch to the face, because if he makes Addy embarrassed, I swear I'll knock the guy out.
Pulling out my phone I text Adds to check on her.
Me: Hey, you good?
Addy: Peachy. You?
Me: Peachy? Who says that?
Addy: Me apparently lol
Me: Drake won't say anything. Not that there's anything to hide but just wanted to make sure you knew so you weren't freaking out over there. You left in a hurry, we didn't even finish the movie.
It takes her a full five minutes to respond which for some reason had my heart beating in a weird rhythm.
Addy: Sorry, forgot I left my oven on. Had to make sure I didn't burn my trailer down.
Me: Right. And did you?
Addy: Did I what?
Me: Burn your trailer down? You know...leaving your oven on an all. I'm actually pretty jealous because I don't have an oven in my trailer. Who do I ask about putting an oven in my trailer? Guest services, maybe?
Addy: Oh shut up.
I smile at that. I can hear her voice perfectly in my head as I read her text and I know that she's smiling. Calming down from whatever thoughts she has going on in her head. I decide not to push anymore on why she left in a hurry or bring up Drake again.
Me: See you later?
Addy: Yup. See you on set.
With that I put my phone away and head toward the shower because in a few hours, Addy and I are supposed to start shooting our first sex scene together. This is going to be interesting.
