The Club: Chapter Eight:

I didn't know how I was going to tell Elizabeth about the Trent situation, seeing as I had been begging her to help me find Adrian every day since the day she took me in.

I walked down the street in front of the club and I could hear the music thumping. I didn't need to show my ID to the bouncer because Elizabeth had set it up that he could have free drinks for letting me in for free, and plus I did work here.

"Hey Ted. How's your night so far?" I asked as he checked ID's.

"Oh it's going pretty good. But it is only the start. It's not even 11:00 p.m. yet. The drunken fights haven't started yet. That's when my fun begins." Ted said waving me inside.

I looked around the club and noticed that there were a lot of new people here tonight. I wondered what the occasion was. The club  was usually only open to the supernatural but tonight there were humans everywhere, I looked for Elizabeth so I could ask what was going on when I saw a guy at the bar waiting for his drink but no Elizabeth. I went behind the bar and looked at the guy.

"Can I help you sir?" I asked in my server voice.

"Uh, all the drinks here sound very interesting but nasty at the same time. What exactly are in these beverages?" He was human. Anytime someone had to ask what was in one of our drinks we instantly knew they weren't like us.

"I recommend you stick with what you have had before, What's your favorite?" I asked reaching under the bar.

"Okay. I'll take a whiskey on the rocks." he said with a cocky smile on his face.

I got him a drink and then went to find Elizabeth. She had to be around here somewhere.

I finally found her standing beside the werewolf that had tried to keep me from going into their territory.

"Elizabeth, you have customers." I said as I walked up.

"Oh, okay. I'm headed over there now. Oh yea, Cecilia this is Dominican. Dominican this is my best friend, Cecilia." Elizabeth said with a blush just for Dominican.

"Vampire." Dominican snarled.

"Hey! I will not let you go all big bad wolf on her. She hasn't done anything." Elizabeth said standing and putting her hand on his chest. Dominican froze and looked down at her hand.

"Why is she here?" He asked through his teeth.

"She's here, because she is my friend, and I want her here. If you are going to act like this I can go get one of the bouncers to throw you out, Dominican." Elizabeth said through clenched teeth, "What will it be?"

"Whatever." he huffed out, and then he turned and went to a darkly lit booth where I noticed that Trent also sat, watching me.

"Cecilia, I'm sorry about him. I don't know why he has to act like that." Elizabeth said as she touched my shoulder.

"We have met before. He's opposed to me getting help to find out who killed my family." I whispered, "Go take care of your customers!"

"What are you going to do?" she looked worried.

"I'm going to go home and sleep some." I said softly.

"What about your nightmares?" she whispered to me.

"I'll be fine, Elizabeth. Trust me. I can usually feel the nightmares coming on." I reassured her.

She only nodded and went to go serve her customers.
