(This is Elizabeth's story, so we don't have a title for it yet. But once we get the story started you'll know the title.)
Elizabeth's Guests
Elizabeth's P.O.V.
My skirts billowed around me as I walked around my tiny witches shop. A few people were milling about looking at the various items on the shelves, but they were human so they didn't quite know what the items were used for, or the importance of each item.
There was a man who had come in about an hour ago, saying something about waiting on the raiding party that he was with, and a wealthy family that lived down the road.
I hadn't personally met the family, but I had heard of them.
Balthazar was the the head of the family, the father that owned most of the businesses around. He however, had been away on a trip of some sort. I think it was to open a bar somewhere, or at least that was what was being said by the towns people.
I however, didn't believe it. Something was fishy about this story, and I couldn't quite figure it out. Werewolves had been around a lot, always asking questions about him and his family. The man that was currently there was a werewolf and he was gazing intently at the weapons collection that was to the left end of my shop.
"Can I help you with anything, sir?" I called out to him.
He looked up from the knife he was holding and smiled, "Oh no, ma'am. I'm just looking."
"Alright, well if you need anything just let me know." I had to turn my attention away from him then because a woman came up to the counter with a bottle of stagnant water.
"What can I help you with, miss?" I asked her politely.
"Can you do something with this?" she asked softly.
I looked back down at the bottle, "Exactly what do you want done with it?"
"I just want rid of it." she said shakily.
That was odd, so I reached for the bottle, and once it was in my hand I examined it closer.
Something small and red was swimming around inside the water, and it had a faint glow to it.
"Yes, ma'am I'll take it. I'm sure you are curious as to what this is right?" I said softly so as not to spook the tiny creature.
"Yes." she responded.
"This is a type of fish. It's very rare in these parts, but over in America there are tons of them." I knew it wasn't a fish, but I said this to ease her fear.
"Oh, I feel like such a silly person now." she said laughing lightly, "Well, you can keep it anyway."
With that being said she strolled out of the shop.
I looked down at the bottle that contained the fairy, and waited for it to try and get out.
However, it seemed content for now to just swim about.
The werewolf came over and looked at the bottle.
"Fairy I see." he paused and then looked me in the eyes, "What was a human woman doing with a fey?"
"She didn't know it was a fairy. She caught it and then brought it to me. I told her it was a rare breed of fish!" I said as I unscrewed the lid.
"Good cover up." he said laughing.
The fairy climbed out of the bottle, and grew into a man. He smiled at me and turned to look at the werewolf.
"Somehow I wonder if that woman actually knew what I was." he said as he shook his head and then walked out of the shop.
The werewolf followed after him, saying something about finding one of his friends.
I watched as the werewolf went into the alley that the fairy had just went into and I wondered if he was actually following him.
I shook off that thought and set to work organizing the new shipment of books onto a shelf that was at the back of the shop.
I heard something that sounded like a scream but I couldn't have been sure with the next sound being a carriage rolling by at a pace that was more than unusual.
I went to the window to see what was going on and saw the carriage go by, and then several minutes later a horse with a girl with red hair on it came riding up, and then she ran into the alley and drug out the fairy, and helped him into my shop.
He was hurt, and I knew that the werewolf had hurt him.
