Hey guys! Sorry for not posting for a while😁. But I have been writing another story on my Collab acc. With dadssweets ! We are writing a story on the account TheWriteSisters02 called The Hike to Wealth. Please go check it out! Love you guys😘

Victoria's birthday was last week.  She turned 13, and she was so excited that she was finally an 'official' teenager. We had a small party at her house, and she got a One Direction Album, paint(for her room), and 3 tickets to a Kelly Clarkson concert next month in September. Victoria said that me, Mrs. Hunter and her would all be going. Then we had chocolate wacky cake cupcakes with Aqua cream cheese frosting.

Oh, and the Hunters got the extra bed up in the Guest Room, along with a desk, mirror, and some drawers. That is now my room, and it's finally started to feel like home.

This week, Victoria and I received our class schedules and our supply lists. I would be starting High School(9th Grade), and Victoria will be starting her last year of Middle School(8th Grade). We both have to take Geometry(Victoria is advanced), Science, History, English, and P.E.. Then I take Resource(a block to catch up on work and do HW), and Victoria takes Spectrum, which apparently is a special class for the kids who have more 'advanced and creative' minds, and they do puzzles and projects and stuff. And by the county's policy we each can take two electives. Victoria is taking German 2, and Orchestra 8, because she plays Viola. I on the other hand am taking French 1 and FACS, where I get to cook food.

I'm kind of upset that Victoria is still in Middle School, and that I have to start High school, because then I won't have her to help me with all the new Mormon things I have to learn.

First we went to my old house, where my mom had called Mrs. Hunter and said that she collected Back to School money and money for new clothes for me. Apparently my 'mom' disagreed with my dad throwing me away and secretly got money for me. My dad wasn't home, so we got an envelope with the money inside and we left to go to Staples.

I got a new peach backpack, which had a pocket for my laptop, 5 folders(pink, yellow, red, turquoise, and sky blue), 3 Binders(pink, red, and light blue), 2 packs of pencils, 2 packs of red and black pens, a pack of highlighters, 6 different colored sharpies, a clear sparkly pencil case, 4 packs of rainbow colored index cards, and finally a NEW Vera Bradley lunchbox. Please note, my mother gave me a good $545 to spend...

Next was shopping for clothes.

I had a few modest t-shirts, and of course I had jeans but some were either getting too small or had rips in them. We went to Target, but we didn't find anything there for me, but Victoria found a flowered blouse that she liked, with a flower necklace. Then we went to Sears and I found a Teal shirt that was loose at the sides and had sleeves to my elbows, two pairs of jeans. One was faded, and the other was a darker color.

When we went to the shoe section, I was looking at some cute flats and long boots when I heard an all to familiar laugh.

Clarissa.

Clarissa saw me in my T-shirt and capris and walked over smirking.

"Hi," I said trying not to hide my anger towards her.

"Hey Charlotte," she laughed as she looked more at my clothes, "What are you wearing?"
More laughs.

"Why didn't you call me! Text me! Come over!" I screamed, "I thought you were my friend! My Best Friend!" And Jake! I saw on his Instagram that you guys had a party without me!"

"We heard about your new friend, Charlotte," a new voice said. I whipped around and saw Jake. I turned red and kicked him in the shin. He barely flinched.
"What are you doing here, you JERK!"

Clarissa looked offended. I could tell because that look was what always happened when someone insulted me. Her used to be best friend. "My my, Charlotte that's no way to treat Jake," she said in a slow, forceful, but calming voice. "Even if he's with a different girl now."

I opened my mouth but no sound came out. I tried again. "Who?" I asked. I almost didn't want to know. Now that I was investigating in the LDS church, I have to start practicing their beliefs, but that doesn't mean that I have started to practice them all. I still wanted to be with Jake. I still loved him. He's my boyfriend.  I wasn't about to throw him away just yet. Who was Clarissa talking about? Lauren? Eva? Madison?

I took in a large breath, as I got my answer. I tried to keep back tears, but I failed as one...two...three...fell down my cheek, slowly making their way down my neck.

I hastily grabbed the shoes I wanted, and ran down the aisle and toward the checkout, where Mrs. Hunter and Victoria were waiting for me, picking out some chocolate.
