My back was pressed up against the door as I was trying to keep my composure.
I heard the door slam shut and a car drive off causing my heart to sink to my toes.
He wasn't telling me something and it was killing me.
Like what did I do?
With a heavy heart I slowly opened my door and made my way downstairs.
The kitchen was empty and then the door opened and shut.
I ran to the living room and I was expecting to see chocolate brown curls and electric green eyes but I didn't.
It wasn't him.
My eyes fell to the floor and what was left of my heart shattered.
"Oh honey come here." My mom didn't need me to speak to know what happened.
My emotions where clear as day on my face.
I ran to her and wrapped my arms around her and cried my eyes out.
She ran her fingers through my hair and held me tight.
This was what I wanted.
She was trying.
She was being there for me.
She was being my mom.
After what seemed like forever I pulled away and wiped my eyes and we just stood there for a second.
Her eyes were kind and understanding and she led me to the couch.
"What happened today?" She sighed.
"It was great until we left the house." I sighed rubbing my eyes.
"It had to be who ever called him but he won't let me in. I feel like the harder I try the farther away he gets." I felt the exhaustion taking me down.
"Oh speaking of today," I got up and pulled the envelope out of my purse.
"Ready?"I asked excitement slowly rising.
"Okay open!" I said watching her open the envelope.
"Oh my god! TWINS?! Girl twins?! I'm a grandma!" She said excitedly.
Tears pricked at my eyes as I was so relieved that she was okay with this... Sorta.
Without a moments hesitation I flung my arms around her and thanked her.
We both ended up crying again.
My mom went to the bathroom to fix her makeup while I tried to find something to watch.
Just as I thought that everything was okay her phone lit up.
It was Harry.

I talked to my mom finally.
Um I have to leave in a few days and I don't know what to tell m I can't just leave her like this.

My mouth was dry and I couldn't breathe.
He was leaving.
Her phone clattered to the ground out of my grasp.
"Honey what's wrong?" My mom appeared beside me nervously.
"He's leaving." I whispered almost as a question.
I shoved past her and made my way upstairs.
She reached for my arm and pulled me to face her.
"Just listen, just call him. It's never too late." She said letting me go.
"Don't you get it?! I've already lost him! He won't talk to me about anything mom he won't let me in he just doesn't want to. He doesn't want us. So I'll just let him go." I yelled letting my tears fall down my face.
I fell onto my bed and let the sobs escape me.
I didn't want it to come to this but it did.
The dark gloomy shadow fell on me and I found myself driving to a bar.
I walked in and ordered a drink then started drowning my sorrows in liquor.
My phone wouldn't stop ringing so I finally answered it.
"WHAT?!" I snapped.
"Madi?" Harry's voice sounded tired yet anxious.
"Oh it's you." I slurred.
"Where are you? Please tell me you haven't been drinking?"he sighed.
I got up and walked outside and stumbled a little.
"Shit. Ow. I'm no I'm fine I'm out."I said leaning against the side of the building.
"Why are you drunk?" He asked calmly.
"Why are you leaving!?" The hurt dripping off my voice was clear even in my drunken state.
He sighed but didn't say anything.
"That's what I thought!" I snapped ending the call.
I walked back inside and payed my tab then left.
I was driving home when the sirens started blaring and the lights were blinding.
"Shit." I muttered pulling over.
There was a tap on my glass and I rolled my window down.
I was met by the stony cold eyes and dark tan skin of none other than Zayn Malik.
"Zayn?" My voice was barely audible and I was at a loss for words.
"What people change."he said coldly.
"Ma'am please step out of the vehicle." He said sternly.
"I didn't do anything wrong." I said trying to keep my eyes down.
"Look me in the eyes and say that." He challenged.
I huffed and got out of the car.
"Now walk in a straight line."
I did as I was told but fell onto my knees.
He smirked.
"Just as I thought. I'm going to have to take you downtown miss." He said reaching for his cuffs.
"Wait what!? No you can't do this!" I yelled at him trying to yank out of his reach.
The cool metal dug into my skin causing me to wince.
He helped me into the back of the car and I hung my head and let the tears fall.
We arrived at the station and I was led inside.
"Don't I get a phone call?!" I snapped.
"Watch it." He hissed.
"Two minutes." He shoved the phone into my hands and I feverishly dialed the only number I'd ever memorized.
"Damnit Harry pick up! Pick up pick up pick up!" I huffed in frustration.
Finally he picked up mid curse.
"Harry! Harry don't hang up! Please I need you to come get me. Please. I'm sorry for being a bitch I'm sorry I just I need you." I cried into the phone.
"Babe were are you calm down and just breathe."
"Um I'm I'm at the police station." I said breaking into sobs.
I heard him sigh and mumble something then he said he'd be there in a few and then the line went dead.
I was pulled away and put in a jail cell with a blanket and a cup of water.
I huddled up in the corner and waited and waited for Harry to come to my rescue like he always does. But even with my high hopes a part of me wondered if he'd already left.
