Thranduil paced before his throne, touching the left of his face ever so often. Even after so many millenniums it still had a full burn. My whole body has a dull burn. He couldn't get her out of his mind. Even after her rejection. He didn't mean to kiss her-well, he'd meant to have her stay, to seduce her into his bed. But her rejection at his offer to let her stay had angered him. Had made his desire to have her stronger. He'd wanted to rid her mind of Thorin but it seems she was far to in love with him.

No she said she had a duty to her king.

Still, she'd chosen Thorin over him. Duty or not he wanted her. He felt betrayed.

Why, because she has honor?

Shut up?! His rational thoughts were really starting to annoy him. Can't he rage in peace. He scoffed. The funny thing was he still wanted her. Needed her and that confused him. Maybe it was because when he'd kissed her he felt her passion-her need for him. That is probably why he needed her. Because she felt the same as he.

There's no point. She's most likely to die anyway.

That thought cooled his blood and made his heart stop. If she entered that mountain she would face the fire of Smuag. Her loyalty to Thorin was going to get her killed. Thranduil's heart shattered and his eyes burned with unshed tears. Just the mere thought of her death brought pain to him. Body and soul.

His legs felt weak and he gripped a nearby pillar. He needed to get to her before she entered the mountain but damn he couldn't! He couldn't risk his people. He couldn't leave his son behind for someone who would resist him if her king said so. Thranduil growled and punched the pillar, cracking it and shattering the bones in his hand. In his anger the skin on the left of his face returned to...normal. He growled and quickly made it change back. What has she done to me in our short time?

--------------------------

Fawn gagged as the scent of raw fish engulfed her. Oh yeah, she was going to kill him. Dump fish on me and loose a ball. Fang was beside the man, though he was hidden beneath a tarp. It looked as if the man had went hunting. Hopefully the humans are to stupid to check. Fawn would have performed a spell to make them all invisible or something but no spell like that existed and she was far to weak.

Her wound still oozed blood and her skin was now a pale brown. She was weak from injury and most likely infection. By the fates I'm going to hurt him.

She heard a dwarf mumble and then the sound of someone kicking wood. "Quiet, we're approaching the toll gate."

Fawn feels the boat still and her body tenses. "Quiet! We're approaching the toll gate."

"Halt! Goods inspection. Papers, please. Oh, it's you, Bard."

"Morning, Percy."

"Anything to declare?"
