Fawn sat on a rock, far from the company, overlooking the City of Dale. They'd been unsuccessfully in finding the door and oddly she was not mad. Laketown shall live. Though the living style isn't great, they are at least alive. Thorin was going to kill them.

If he'd entered that mountain Smuag would've awoken and set aflame anything and everything in sight. He'd go to the Shire, Mirkwood, and even Beorn's home, and everyone will burn. Everyone will die.

Fawn reached up and removed her eye patch. Her eye was now grey almost white, a jagged scar going from her brow to her her chin. She studied her patch, tossing it, studying, and tossing it again. Gandalf now knew what he meant when he'd said they'd change. Bilbo was not.....right and she was, well, she was no longer blind to the world's evil. Now, she realizes that there is more evil then good, and it gets bigger everyday.

Fawn flinched as her vision changed but then returned to normal. With the slight change cane a gruelling pain that was nnow gone. She shook her head. "What the-" It happened again and she fell to the ground, writhing in pain. This time she got a good look at what her vision was changing to.

Fire licked the surface, reached up to the sky. All around, screams of anguish could be heard. Shadows rushed around and looked to be fighting. Fawn stood in the center of the rubble, watching in horror. A sword the sliced through her.

"Fawn the door is open!"

------------------------

Fawn grabbed Bilbo's shoulder and turned him toward her. They stood in a narrow hall way. It was dark and reeked of death. Bilbo looked up into Fawn's eyes as she grabbed his hand and placed something within it. He looked down and saw her eye patch. "Why..." She shrugged. "I need that, so make sure you come back. That's my favorite and only one. Loose it and loose a ball." Bilbo smiled weakly and the two embraced each other. "I wish I could go in there with you..." They pulled apart. "...but he'd smell my dwarf blood."

Fawn's eyes bore into Bilbo's as tears welled in their depths. "Come back. I would a tour of the shire when this quest is over and we could journey back to Rivendale. Also I need a judge to judge Kili and It's archery contest." Bilbo laughed and hugged Fawn once more. "I promise I shall return." He then stepped back, locket her eye patch, and walked away.

A hand gripped her shoulder and she looked to see Bombur. He gave her an encouraging and comforting smile. She grinned and patted him on the belly as she walked toward the others.

"Hold her!"

"He's dying in there!"

"Thorin she's pretty strong."

"We have to help him!"

Before Thorin could say another word Fawn was free of the dwarves grasps and was running toward the treasure room. When she stepped onto the overhang she jumped down and began to search for Bilbo. She stopped short and gasped. Smaug. Bilbo and Smaug were starring at each other, Bilbo's eyes flickering to...the Arkenstone. It was beautiful. Mesmerizing.
