We set out early. The boat we got from the Connie family was so much better than the little butcher boat I had before. This ship was big enough to have a kitchen. Nishia is setting Kimiko up in the nursery in the main quarters while I navigate to Elyota. It wasn't so hard, but not my favorite either. At sunset, I could smell Nishia making dinner in the new ship kitchen. It smelled good and reminded me I hadn't eaten since last night. I check to see if we will stay on track for the next several hours. I walk down to the kitchen and see her standing by the stove and has Kimiko in a high chair.
"That smells heavenly." I say startling Nishia.
"Oh god.. sorry, I was in my head..." She says softly.
"Are you crying?" I ask as I come closer to her.
"I knew taking you away from your home would be sad, but you will get to see more of the world." I say, patting her back softly to show her empathy.
"These are happy tears, actually. I'm happy to live for them. You know. My mother and sister live within me, and knowing that my kingdom is gone. It might be nice to live a little." Nishia says and wipes her tears away.
"Just make sure not to get too wild." I say with a giggle and sit at the table across from Kimiko.
"I promise not to go too far." She says, turns the burner off, and moves the skillet over to let the meal cool for a second.
"Kimiko has already eaten, so this is for us both." She says while taking off her apron and setting it aside.
"Good, I'm starving." I say as Nishia plates our food and sets it in front of me. A wonderful seafood noodles sit delicious in front of me.
"Are we gonna check out the base Floria told us about?" Nishia asks as she starts to eat her food.
"It might be tough getting through a marine base with me. You might be able to get past, but I certainly won't be." I say. I told her my family history the other night. She knew my mother but she hadn't heard of my father or my many uncles and aunts.
"Maybe we can at least hide your face to get you passed?" She says softly. I shrug and pick up my fork and start to eat the delicious food.
"It could work, but how would we sneak Kimiko. Elyota is a desert island and will be burning in the morning and freezing at night. We won't have much once we get to the island." I say as I move the noodles with my fork.
"She should be fine in a wrap on my back. You can't just run from the government." She says as she giggles in her last sentence.
"I'm a wanted person that kinda the point." I say as I chuckle back at her.
The night went fine after finishing our meal. I sleep first before Nishia wakes me up to do a second watch. I sit up in the crows nest to watch the calming sea as we continue on the corse to Elyota. I watch the stars more and smile, knowing the Whitebeard pirates were probably looking at the sane stars. Even as the sun shines, I still stay looking upon the sky.
"I miss you." I say softly into the open sky. I missed a lot of things. I wished things could go back to when things felt normal. I sigh as I shake my head at the word normal. Nothing was ever going to be right again. The doubt of finding my family was leaking from my hand before I could even get an ounce of a clue. The more I get distracted about the others. My heart blooms when I remember Whitebeard's laugh. The atmosphere of the crew was amazing. After a while, I could hear Kimiko's cries. Nishia passed out when I came and found her. I picked up Kimiko and took her to the cros next to let her see the heights. Kimiko's brown eyes were wide and excited as she coos with the wind. Her tiny hands smack gently on the wood of the crows nest.
