CALUM'S P.O.V

My wrists stung more than wasps, the rope around them so tight I no longer held feeling in my fingers.

I felt a strong throb in my left ribcage which I tried to ignore. But eventually I cried out in agony and fear, resulting in another hit to the face.

I didn't know where I was. What I'd done wrong. Or who these were beating me.
"You're so weak." The ringleader sneered, in which I cringed and slammed my eyes shut, awaiting another hit before a gunshot sounded, making my eyes fly open.

One of the men fell with a bullet embedded in his head. But the person behind the gun is not who one would expect. A woman, and from what my blurred vision could make out, a beautiful one too.

"Hit that boy again and I'll make sure you glow only black and blue." She hissed, holding a shotgun up at him.

"Oh baby. Don't be like that. You know little girls shouldn't handle guns."

I swore I felt the bullet stroke my cheek and ear as it flew past, hitting the ringleader straight in the crouch.

He screamed in pure agony and dropped to the ground.

In one swift movement the girl dived on me, making all the bullets fired by the other two fly above our heads as she snatched two handguns from the back of her jeans, giving one quick shot to the heart for each of the men, making them drop like flies.

I groaned quietly, feeling this sting of the cold ground against my open wounds.

"Sorry." She smiled and pulled me up before turning to the ringleader.

He breathed quickly, still crying out.

"Oh stop sooking." She snapped, digging the heel of her boot into his crutch, making him scream louder.

She shook her head at him.
"Pathetic."

With another shot, the man screamed no more.

I couldn't help but shake slightly, she'd saved my life.. But fuck she was intimidating, even though I was almost twice the size of her.

I could make out the swift opening of a switchblade, then a groan of relief  flooded from my lips as my wrists were cut free.

I brought my purple tinged hands infront of me and went to stand, but she pressed on my shoulders gently and sat me back down.

"Hang on a minute, not like the movies, just stay seated for a minute and let the blood flow get back to your hands, roll your wrists a little, I'll be back in a minute okay?"

I gave a nod to her soft words and began rolling my wrists and moving my fingers steadily.

Within a few minutes she was back with what looked like a first aid kit, and Luke.

He looked at me with wide eyes
"Oh my god Calum.."

"I must look pretty shitty then." I mumbled in reply.

"It's okay, we'll fix you up." The girl smiled, kneeling down beside me. I couldn't help but smile, maybe it was relief, I was certain I was going to be tortured to death, or bleed out, or just be misfired at and accidentally killed.

She looked up at me and tilted my chin to look at her.
"Hey, don't think about that stuff okay?"
I tilted my head slightly.
"How do you know what I'm thinking?"
"Your eyes give it all away my friend."
"Well.. I'd like to see yours then." I muttered.
She smiled and slid her aviators to the top of her head. Her eyes glowed blue, they were a darker blue yet so soft.
"Now, let's put you back together, the sterile will sting like a bitch for around 30 seconds, just bare with me okay?"
I gave a nod, she began cleaning my wounds and stitching some of them up.

She placed the equipment down then started feeling my upper half, which if I wasn't in mild shock and decent amount of pain would have enjoyed a lot.

She pressed down on my third left rib.
"Hurt?"
I shook my head. She went down to the fourth one, in which I screamed out in pain, making her realise quickly but gently.
"I'm really sorry.. I'm just going to have to find how bad it's broken..."
"It's.. Okay.."
She started pressing softly, to which I whimpered and screamed, then she examined the others, my right sixth aching too.
"Just a few cracked ribs. Just take it easy, nothing too major under your circumstances." She stated as she injected a painkiller into my arm, which seemed to work almost too quickly.

Luke came back into the lounge with a suitcase packed with my clothes and handed a white T-shirt to the girl which slipped on me carefully.
"You're an angel.." I muttered again. She laughed,
"That's a bit of an overstatement I think."
Her and Luke took my arms and helped me up, walking me out slowly to the black car.
Luke helped me in and jumped in the back, it was only now I realised Michael and Ashton were here too.

"Fuck Calum.. What did they do to you?" Michael asked with wide eyes.
"I think it's more than you want to know. Just be happy that we're in safe hands." Luke cut in, making the girl smile as she drove off.

"Ha, first excuse to drive softly hey kidnapper?" Ashton drummed on her shoulders.

She rolled her eyes.
"Very funny."

Within a moment of listening I'd drifted off to sleep.
