LUKE'S P.O.V

Finally. We were on the plane, which was actually a private jet, but we were safe.. That's the main thing.

I sat beside Kate, her eyes were slightly wide, her body pushed against the back of the seat as she hummed quietly.

"You okay?"
She gave a slight nod, fiddling with her shaky hands.
"You don't like flying?"
She shook her head.

"Kate say something.. It's okay."
She turned to me.
"Do you remember the 207.. Plane crash...?"
"The black-eyed pilot.. Drove the plane into the Marshall Islands... Only 3 survivors out of 200?" I replied.
"Yeah well I was one of them. I hate flying unless I'm flying the thing my fucking self." Her voice shook.
"Hey... It's okay.." I smiled, rubbing her arm softly.

She glanced at me then did my seatbelt up quickly.

The jet started to move to the runway, she slammed her eyes shut. Seeing this girl scared terrified me..

She breathed slowly as the plane started to accelerate.
"Kate its okay.."
She smiled slightly and nodded but her breathing didn't change.

I slowly went to put my arm around her, but she flinched forward causing me to frown slightly.
"I'm fine."
"O-okay.."

The plane soon took off into the air, and we were able to move to the more comfortable seats.

Kate stood up and walked to one of the couches, pouring herself a drink, I sat down beside her.

She looked over at me and held up a glass.
"Want a drink?"
"Can I just have a juice please?"

She poured me a glass and handed it to me as she finished hers.

Calum touched a part of his ribs and winced slightly, sitting back down.

"Calum." Kate called, throwing a bottle of water and the packet of aspirin to him.
"Thanks." He smiled.

She rested her head back.
"I'm gonna try and sleep through this.." She muttered, closing her eyes.
"Alright."

Turbulence struck, making her grip the seat and gasp in a breath.
"It's okay.. Just turbulence.."
"If anything seems odd.. Or you guys need something.. Wake me.. Okay.."

We all nodded as she rested back again, slowly drifting off to sleep.

Ashton took a seat next to me.
"It's weird to see her like that.. She seems fearless.."
"She was on 207.. I don't blame her for being slightly nervous.."

The boys eyes widened.
"Yeah.. I know right.."

I stared out the window, looking down at water-filled desert which was the ocean, my eyes getting heavy.

At a sudden moment I winced at a sharp kick to my knee and peered back at Kate, small screams escaped her lips as she started to thrash.

I brought her closer to me.
"Shh.."

She gripped to me like a monkey and buried her head into my chest, still whimpering out.
I wrapped my arms around her and cradled her gently, settling her down.

It was like she has 40 degree heat radiating from her, she was so warm.

And before I knew it, I'd drifted off to sleep aswell.
