Valor stood against the entrance of the Pru'Gri Caverns, the land was tainted with a thick layer of corrupt mana. A deep fog leaking from the entrance, it was entrancing to say the least, Valor was eager to exert his magic power and tame the Dragon Infant, even if it would be a difficult path for him.
"This corrupt mana is stronger than I thought..." Valor surged mana throughout his body, resisting the negative effects of the corrupt mana. It weakened his power more than he would have liked, but he would have to make due. "Let us find this Dragon Fetus and drag it by its tail..."
"You have such a violent mouth, Man!" Valen pointed out the aggression from Valor's words, clearly not seeing the irony. "Makes me concerned!"
"Say what you want, I am clearly joyful at such an opportunity..." He gave a voice that didn't reassure Valen much before walking into the cavern. Everyone followed after him, Ragk had given him the role of leader for this mission, so even if any of the Red Orcs didn't want to follow a stranger, they respected Ragk enough to do so. There were a total of 4 Red Orcs, all four of them equipped with a long range weapon that Valor was unfamiliar with.
"Are you sure we can trust him...?" One of the Red Orcs whispered to their companion.
"Don't matter, Fugunker, Ragk said he knows how to deal with them Dragon Infants. So we just gotta trust." The Red Orc that drove them to the caverns earlier replied. The Red Orc was older than the other three, evident with his white hair and wrinkly skin, and even talked like an old country man. As an older man himself, Valor could find a kinship with such a person, respected his assertiveness, even just the fact that he was old. In his times, rarely anyone lived to an old age, they either died in battle or perished to illnesses. Worst yet, they died attempting to grasp more power or transitioning to becoming a greater being.
"Hey, old man, what is your age?" The demon turned his head to the older Red Orc as they walked down the cavern.
"What a rather rude question for a stranger like you..." The older Red Orc scoffed.
"Oh do not get offended either, I am a bit old myself by most species standards. Sixty years to be exact." The demon flaunted. The older Red Orc reacted with a rather expressive look, though it soon dissipated.
Valen on the other hand shook in surprise, the person that beat him was essentially a senior citizen by human standards. "What?! You're sixty years old? With a physic like yours I would have thought you were around my age..." he paused for a moment, "how long does your species live for?"
"Depends, I come from a near extinct species called an Imp. From what I know, we live for a long time..." Valor thought about his past, "I believe the oldest Imp I met was almost 700 years..."
"Woah! If we're going by that standard, that means you're a child!"
Valor knew he was correct, even worse, if he considered the fact he was reborn a couple of days ago, he might as well have been called a newborn. Yet despite Valen being right, he wanted to beat his ass for calling him a child. "I will ignore what you said, so let us focus on finding this Dragon Fetus..." Valor tracked a trail of potent corrupt mana, it was compact enough that even a regular person could see it. Such potency only proved how dangerous of a creature they would be facing, it was rather concerning. There's so many signs telling them that taking on a Dragon Fetus is a stupid idea, yet, they continued on. "Tch, I have a feeling that this plan is going to start to fall apart when we see it..." as if he had chanted a spell of fate, the ground faintly vibrated. They all felt the floor beneath them begin to rumble and shake with an ever increasing intensity.
"Ah shit! Something is coming up ahead!" One of the younger Red Orcs pointed in front of them. From the shadows of the caverns, a set of four eyes peered at them, staring with a purple glow from its irises.
