Chapter 10 Nichole
"Meet your friends!" Louis nodded and leaned up on his elbows.
"Nic, calm down. You'll be okay." he smiled and laid back down on his bed. I shook my head vigorously. I'm pretty sure Louis' friends won't like a goody-two-shoes like me. I kept myself occupied by cleaning his room. He was sprawled out on the bed watching me. "What are you doing?" I sighed and held a t-shirt up in one hand.
"Cleaning. Duh." he rolled his eyes and hopped off his bed. He hooked his finger through one of my belt loops.
"Come on." he stopped walking and began pulling me. "Niiccc!" He whined when I grabbed his dresser. I started screaming rape and kicking. He grabbed my leg and tried pulling me again. "What is your problem?" I squeezed my eyes shut and tightened my grip. "What is wrong with you!?"
"What if they don't like me!? What if they make you change your mind?! What if I get jealous? Then what'll happen?!" Everything froze and I mentally face palmed myself. He dropped my leg and I stood up. He ran a hand down his face. "Your friends opinions count. Most people ignore them but in the end, they're the only ones who can change the person's mind." I stood there limply. He held my hands close to his chest. My heart was beating fast. Jeez Nichole. Way to ruin things early on. I sighed. "I-" I closed my eyes and regained focus before looking him dead in the eye. "I don't want to lose you." he shook his head.
"Nichole." I looked into his blue-green eyes and almost melted. His facial expression was soft an loving; one you don't get very often from Louis Tomlinson. He leaned forward and kissed the tip of my nose. His hot breath tickled my face. I looked at our joined hands and smiled. "My friends are important, but so are you. If they don't like you, tough luck because I like you and they can't change that." he smiled and I stood on my tiptoes to kiss him. He pulled away. "Nichole. I think I lo-" before he could finish a boy with shaggy black hair busted into the room.
"Hey Lou! Long time no see!" Oh dear. Time to mingle and put on a fake smile. I really really hate people.
Three hours. I had to deal with those idiots for three straight hours. A lot of them left leaving the ones I could handle. I sat in the grass by the porch and watched the boys play soccer or "football". A group of girls came over to me. "Are you Nichole?" I nodded and raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah. Why?" she rolled her eyes in disgust. I scrunched up my face. Well fuck you too whore. I mean the girl barely had clothes on.
"You don't look like Louis' normal type." I stood up and placed my hand on my hip. She smirked. "Then again, I don't think anyone could beat me." her friends nodded in agreement as she twirled her hair around her finger. Haven't these girls watched movies like Mean Girls? It never works out for the bitches. I laughed.
"Really?" she chomped on her gum waiting for me to go on. "A prostitute would be better than you. They even wear more clothes than you!" her mouth fell open. "Just to let you know, people use whores like you as easy scores. They want people like me because I don't look or act like a cheap value meal." her eyes narrowed. Everyone was watching us now since our conversation was getting louder.
"Well you-" I held my hand up.
"Save your breath." Louis smiled over at me giving me a boost of confidence. "You're going to need it tomorrow to explain why your throat and knees hurt." everyone burst out in laughter. I smiled because she was at a loss for words.
"Hey Hannah!" The boy who interrupted me and Louis earlier, Lance, yelled across the yard. She composed herself before turning around. "Apply water to the burned area." she rolled her eyes.
"You think you're funny don't you?" I shrugged and nodded since I was still acting like a smart ass. She smirked. "Hey Louis! Whenever you want to go for round two give me a call!" she glared at me. "Since we all know your barbie doesn't put out." she pushed past me.
"Hannah." she stopped. "Did you forget that I can kick your ass?" she laughed.
"Try me." she spat in my face. I started to walk over to her, but Louis and Lance were between us in seconds.
"Don't listen to her. She's a whore." Louis whispered.
"That's not the name I remember you screaming? It went something like HANNAHHHH!" She smirked, but flinched when I tried to hit her.
"Lance, get Hannah out of here." Louis started pulling me away from her and towards the woods.
"She's a slut." i spat and he nodded.

I sat on Louis' bedroom floor waiting for him to come back up. After the little scene, he decided it was late and everyone needed to go home. I messed everything up. I knew I only retaliated because she was gorgeous and I'm only average. If I was Louis,I would pick her over me in a heartbeat. I'm jealous. I sighed and hit my head against the wall. "Well that's going to hurt." I shrugged as Louis entered the room and sat beside me. "So, how do you like my friends?" I smiled, but he couldn't see it because I was facing the wall.
"Most of them were great." I looked over at him. He sighed.
"I don't know what got into Hannah. Normally she's laid back and funny like you." I scrunched my face up.
"Offense!" he smiled and stood up.
"Don't worry about her." he helped me up and placed his hands on my waist. "I can't change my past." he looked down sadly. "I would if I could. Trust me." I smiled.
"The past is what makes you who you are. I wouldn't change mine." I shrugged and he looked me right in the eyes.
"You know, I've never felt like this with any other girl. Our relationships were never this open." he smirked. "Hannah and I dated for two years, but I swear I'm not secretly dating her or-" I held my hand up and snuggled into the blankets. Louis' scent flooded my nostrils and I smiled.
"You don't have to explain. I believe you." he nodded and laid beside me.
"You're different." he mumbled. I gave him a curious look. "You're down to earth, but classy. Polite, but a smart ass. Funny, but hurting. Your past is terrible, but you wouldn't change it. Your dad beats you, but you still love him." he shook his head. "Different." I smiled.
"He's going to kill me though." Louis raised his eyebrows. "You kissed me right in front of him and he hates you." Louis shifted his body so that he was facing me.
"I don't know how to say this." he sighed. "Never mind I'll just say it. Nichole Kiyren Banks, I love you." I panicked. I bet I ruined everything even though he acted like it didn't hurt. 'I would love me too.' Really? Why didn't I say it back? He laughed and kissed my forehead. The soft snores signaled that he was asleep leaving me to argue with the famous trio.
Me, myself, and I.
