Chapter 4 Nichole
The next week of school went by quickly. We were having a group meeting at Louis’ today. I ran home after school and changed into good ole sweats and a t-shirt. I turned around and jumped when I saw my dad standing in my doorway. “Where are you going?” he asked sharply. Here we go again.
“Narnia.” I mumbled. He pulled my hair back and smacked me. “Louis’. I’m going to Louis’ to study.” I stated trying to control my breathing.
“What did I tell you about him! He’s a Tomlinson and you’re not allowed around those people.” He bashed my head against the wall. I slowly got back up to my feet and he kicked my legs out from underneath me.
“Dad, I think you’ve had too much to drink.” I said holding my busted face. I’m going to have killer migraines.
“Shut up!” he punched me and I fell back down. He kicked me in my sides a couple of times before spitting in my face and walking out. I laid there in pain until I heard the door slam and the truck leave the driveway. I crawled into the bathroom and spit blood into the toilet. Get to Louis. When I stood up my side and backed screamed in pain from where he kicked me. You’re probably thinking ‘Why did you let him do that?’ or ‘Why aren't you calling the cops?’ well this is normal. I slowly made my way downstairs and to my car. I could barely see straight, but I needed to get to Louis. I slowly backed out and began driving. I turned on the radio to distract me from my pain. I need a hero, I'm holding out for a hero til the end of the night, he's gotta be strong, he's gotta be fast, and he's gotta be fresh from the fight. I cried all the way to his house. When I got there I blew my nose before walking up to his door. I hesitated before I finally knocked. He opened the door and his eyes widened when he looked at me.
“What happened?!” I cried even harder. He wrapped his arms around me and I hugged him back. He picked me up and carried me away from the house. I was very confused, but my head was spinning so fast. I couldn’t understand anything he said. He sat me down in his fancy car. All I could see was his scared blue eyes staring into mine and searching my face. I tried to keep my eyes open for him, but failed. I didn’t know where I was or what I was doing and who I was looking at, but I saw a tear escape his eye before everything was white and then black.

“Is she going to make it?” Louis asked. I couldn’t see him but his voice rang in my head. It was odd because it made butterflies fly in my stomach. All the sudden I remembered what happened and I wanted to forget it all. The cracking of bones and the blood. I bet you he cleaned it all up before mom got home. Dumb bastard. I tried to move but I couldn’t and that was when I started freaking out mentally.
“She should be waking up soon.” A deep voice that I didn’t recognize answered. I tried to calm myself down knowing that it was some side effect of whatever loopy medication they had me on. Then it hit me, I don’t know where I am. I felt a grip tighten around my hand. When a door slammed I was knocked out of my dark world and into a dimly lit room. My eyes adjusted and I saw Louis CRYING. I must have moved or made a noise because his head shot up.
“Nic!” he jumped up and hugged me. Searing pain shot through my body and I yelped making him jump back. “I’m so sorry! I forgot.” I nodded and tried to calm down.
“Where am I?” my voice cracked, but it was working.
“The hospital. I-”
