*slight smut (???)

kelsea had called cody, telling him to pick her up on the corner of luke's street. he, to her happy surprise, never asked why she was there and picked her up within five minutes. he couldn't even tell she was upset, so he never asked. as usual.

"sorry, can you just drop me off at home so i can get ready for our date tonight?" she asked cody as he nearly turned back to his own house.

"oh. uh, okay. i guess."

"thanks."

the rest of the car ride was silent until he arrived to kelsea's house.

"thanks. see you later." she said as she nearly got out.

"wait," he grabbed her hand and closed his eyes as he went to kiss her forehead, having it last for about 3 seconds before pulling away. he nuzzled his nose into her hair, smelling her sweet pea shampoo, "i love you."

they both pulled away, "i love you too." she smiled sadly back, thanking him again as she got out of the car and scurried into her house.

kelsea had been laying on her bed, listening to some sad playlist of music ranging from the 1975 to blink 182.

which wasn't helping, at all. every song reminded her of luke - not exactly because of the lyrics, but more because they had listened to music all the time, and it just so happened to be every song on her playlist. she sighed in frustration, getting out a journal and drawing in it. even when it was just doodling it calmed her down.

as time passed, she realised she wasn't sad about luke anymore, but more angry. 'why does he have the right to judge my relationship? he doesn't even know cody.' she thought.

her phone went off and she quickly grabbed it. she was actually a little disappointed to see cody's name instead of luke's. she didn't like being upset with luke. she hated it.

grody cody: i'll be there around 6 :--)

when their date started, it wasn't much different from their other ones, just pizza and movies. the only difference this time around was that her mind was on luke. the entire time.

thoughts like 'me and luke would be doing this right now if..,' 'i wonder what luke's doing right now,' and 'if luke was here...' raged through her head.

the worst part was, even during she and cody's little makeout session, she thought of luke. she had to mentally slap herself in the face when she realised what she was doing.

"want some popcorn?" cody asked, walking to the kitchen.

"no i think i'm kinda movie-d out." kelsea said, getting up and following cody. she had a fullproof plan to get her mind off of luke, and it benefited cody too. she stood behind him and wrapped her arms around his lean torso, nuzzling her face into his back and moving her hands to the hem of his shirt.

she stood on her tiptoes to reach his left ear to attempt to whisper seductively, "let's just go to your room." but the seducing part failed as she let out a laugh and her voice faltered. she wasn't exactly innocent, but she seemed like it. she hated how horrible she was at being sexual, especially during 'dirty talking.' but, she was glad she pulled off the whole 'innocence' act, considering cody has told her - and quote - "innocence is my favorite trait on a girl," in one of his texts to her when she was telling him her insecurities nearly a year ago. and that was before they had even done anything sexual.
