OKAY LESSGOOO
sorry late hogyi mai updare dene me 😭😭

The morning sun filtered through the half-drawn curtains of the hospital room, casting soft golden rays over the pale tiles and quiet machines...The silence was sacred and heavy with exhaustion, unspoken prayers, and fragile hope...It wrapped the room like a protective shroud, disturbed only by the faint, persistent beep of the heart monitor and the steady, rhythmic breaths of two souls—one healing, the other guarding.

Rajveer was slumped in the chair beside the hospital bed, his broad shoulders hunched forward. His fingers were intertwined with Aaradhya's, holding her hand as if anchoring her soul to this world. His face was dull, eyes swollen and rimmed with fatigue, but even in sleep, the grip he had on her hand never wavered and It was like letting go meant reliving the terror of nearly losing her and that was unbearable. The fire hadn't just scorched the kitchen....It had seared his soul.

Aaradhya wakes upIt began with a flicker of her lashes. Then, slowly, her eyes opened—hazy, adjusting to the morning light that danced across the sterile walls. Her brows furrowed. This wasn't home,Not her bedroom,Not warmth.Instead the sterile smell, Cold sheets, Beeping monitors. A dull throb in her head and limbs. And then it hit her.The fire. The panic. The door that wouldn't open. The thick smoke choking her breath. The moment she thought it was the end.A gasp escaped her lips. Her eyes darted wildly as her chest began to heave....she started panicking until her gaze landed on the man slouched beside her, hand still holding hers.Rajveer!Still there!Still holding her!Even asleep, protective! Her heartbeat calmed..... Not fully But enough.Then... she remembered Just before she lost consciousness—his arms around her.... His voice cutting through the smoke... His warmth shielding her from the flames.Tears welled in her eyes she was being Careful not wanting to wake him, she turned slightly and reached for the curtain behind her, pulling it just a little. The light dimmed, creating a cocoon of calm around them.A nurse entered quietly, her steps as light as whispers Aaradhya, still groggy but aware, pressed a finger to her lips.

"Mujhe bathroom tak le ja sakti ho? Please," she asked in a hoarse whisper. The nurse nodded kindly, helping her up with gentle hands

But the absence of her hand... woke him.Rajveer's eyes snapped open. The warmth that grounded him was gone.,,His heart leapt in alarm as he scanned the bed.

"Aaradhya?!"

He stood up in a flash, chair screeching slightly. But before dread could crush him, he saw her.Emerging slowly from the bathroom, supported by the nurse, a little pale, a little weak—but alive

His chest loosened...His feet moved before his brain caught upHe reached her in seconds and cupped her face, scanning her expression, her breath, her every blink, as if ensuring she was truly there...Then, without a word, he wrapped her into his arms, holding her with a tremble that betrayed all the fear he had buried overnight

This hug wasn't playful...It wasn't romantic... It was desperat! Soulful! Raw!Aaradhya hugged him back just as softly. Her hands flattened against his back, slowly rubbing, grounding him, telling him without words

I'm here. I'm safe

When he finally let go, he kept her face in his palms, his thumbs brushing her cheeks as if reassuring himself that this wasn't a cruel dream. His voice cracked. "Tumhe pata hai, Aaradhya... main kitna darr gaya tha. Mujhe laga ki—"

She tilted her head slightly, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead with weak fingers. "Kya laga?" she asked softly.
