Rathore mansion had a strange quiet to it that morning As if the walls remembered everything, and the air carried whispers from the past It had been a while since Purvi had stepped into these halls....The golden chandeliers, the scent of rosewood polish, the antique vases lining the corridor nothing had changed Yet everything felt different.
Perhaps, it was her Or perhaps, it was the truth weighing silently in her purse.
She sat on the sofa casually, laughing at some story Rishi was telling. Viktor was next to her, his eyes studying her too closely noticing things others missed.
"Btw guys," Purvi began, twirling her phone in her hand as if the question was light and harmless, "your little sister... what was her specialty? Like any birthmarks or something?"
Rishi paused. "Umm... I've heard she had a scar or something... red, I think On her right shoulder Kinda like a birthmark."
Purvi tried to hide her smirk but Viktor caught it.
He narrowed his eyes
"By the way," Viktor said as if it just came to mind, "what are you going to do with him?"
Everyone paused.
"Him?" Jaya blinked "Aditya? Kya?"
Purvi looked away for a second. Her throat went dry She finally whispered, "Actually... I broke the engagement."
A beat of silence.
"WHAT?!" Jaya's voice exploded with surprise, then immediately turned celebratory "CONGRATULATIONS GURLL!"
Purvi looked at her, confused "Wait, you're not going to give me a lecture?"
"Lecture kis baat ka? Bhai mujhe vo ladka ek number ka chinaar lagta tha, Uski following list dekhi hai? Girls hostel lagti thi and even his gaze was weird mujhe bilkul pasand nahi tha woh"
Viktor couldn't resist. "Girls hostel? Arey uski behnein hain, bhai Vo apni behno ko kaise unfollow karega?"
Purvi gave him a death glare. "Tum apna muh na band rkha kro for god's sake"
She raised her hand to slap him playfully but Viktor stepped back and she almost fell only to land in his arms and his hand gripped her waist.
Jaya and Rishi simultaneously shouted, "ABSOLUTE CINEMA GUYS! SHAADI KARLO!"
"Bolo, chhoru kya tumko? Gir jaogi mere upar," Viktor teased.
Purvi got up instantly. "Viktor beta ruk tu. Teri hegdi nikalne bolungi Rajveer bhaiya se."
"Miss Purvi, zara ijjat se aapke hone waale pati hai hum," he said with mock pride.
"Bhai ye ladka... AH! I'm leaving," she grumbled, walking away.
"Chalo bye guys, shaadi mein zaroor aana!" Viktor waved dramatically following her while doing a small dance.
Meanwhile at the hospital...
Rajveer stood in front of the doctor.
"Doctor, she's been insisting to go home. I know... she's not fully healed but... can we take her home?"
