The room was dark like the night that holds secrets inside it the air smelled like danger and the silence was not peaceful it was warning something was about to happen the only sound echoing was the nervous breathing of the men kneeling down on the cold marble floor their heads bowed as if praying for mercy or maybe for survival.
The sound of heels echoed and grew louder each second making even the bravest of them flinch they didn't dare to lift their heads they knew who it was the lady in the red mask the one they feared the most.
She stepped forward her presence alone made the whole atmosphere heavy and dangerous she raised her hand slowly giving them permission to stand her voice thundered in the room.
"How the hell all of this happened?" her tone sharp filled with rage and disappointment she loaded the gun in her hand her fingers tight around it and without a second thought pointed it right at one of her men.
The man trembled his voice shaking "Rani Sa please spare me I have got some proofs I swear I didn't betray you please just hear me once"
She didn't blink once her hand was still pointing the gun and then with one slow move she removed the red mask from her face.
And there she was Aishwarya Rathore.
Not the burned disfigured woman the world believed to be dead not the fragile mother everyone pitied no this was a new face sharp elegant dangerous and full of fury.
Her eyes were burning with only one emotion revenge.
The man continued speaking sweating bullets "It was Maya Rani Sa the so called Rajveer's aunt she was the one who gave all servants a holiday she dressed as you and blamed everything on you we had no clue she was planning something so big she misused her loyalty"
Aishwarya listened carefully her eyes didn't even blink once she slowly lowered her gun but her face remained stiff and angry.
"And why would she do this to my daughter" her voice broke but she controlled herself she was not a mother here she was a queen ready for war.
The man stepped forward placing a small pendrive and a few photos on the table "We're trying to find it out Rani Sa but the connection leads to something big something that started years ago your husband Mr Vikram Rathore was not just a lawyer he was a man of justice he fought for the voiceless and in that process he created a lot of enemies but no outsider ever dared to harm him because he was from a royal family but the twist is the enemy was never outside it was inside all along".
Aishwarya clenched her jaw and her nails dug into her palm she knew deep down this truth was buried for too long.
"The Chauhans" the man said and Aishwarya's eyes darkened
"Mr Vidyut Singh Chauhan Rajveer's father and Vikram Rathore were not just friends they were like brothers they grew up together shared everything their families were always close but what no one knew was that there was betrayal brewing inside their bond like poison in sweet water and both of them died mysteriously no one could prove anything but we believe the accident was not an accident".
