Author's POV
It had been two days since that emotionally heavy night in chauhan Mansion the air around still carried weight memories, trauma, and silence that clung to the walls but amidst all that, Aaradhya was trying her best to change the atmosphere she was done being a silent observer
Today, she wanted to breathe some normalcy into the house so, for the first time in days after that fire accident, the kitchen buzzed with activity plates clinking, spoons stirring, aromas filling the air aaradhya had personally made breakfast for everyone, just like she used to do before things became chaotic there was something comforting about the simplicity of cooking, especially when the rest of her world felt anything but simple.
Everyone gathered at the dining table. Parathas, chutney, halwa it was a proper royal breakfast spread "Anything special today?" Maya asked, raising a brow, clearly suspicious.
Aaradhya turned, holding the serving spoon, a small smile playing on her lips
"Not really but I wanted to ask something, Maa Sa."
As soon as those words left her mouth Maya's expression changed her hands paused mid-bite Her face turned pale as if someone had just whispered a dangerous secret in her ears was Aaradhya going to expose her? She didn't know but her gut said something was coming.
Maa Sa sitting quietly, unaffected as always by Maya's overreactions looked up "Bolo," she said calmly, chewing her paratha.
The others at the table looked up too except rajveer and shourya as they were not present at that time, curiosity flickering in their eyes.
"Actually... I'm thinking to go somewhere with Rajveer ji," Aaradhya said, trying to keep her voice polite
"Haan toh jao,Isme puchhne wali kya baat hai? Bas Rajveer maan jaye you know he's a workaholic," Maa Sa said simply
"I'll try to convince him," Aaradhya smiled, though her fingers were tightly clenched under the table....
Later, in Rajveer's Room
Rajveer stood in front of the mirror fixing his tie his casual look for the office was almost complete but as he glanced to his right, he noticed something odd. Aaradhya was standing by the door, arms folded tightly, eyes narrowed at him as if she was ready to curse him into ashes. The intensity of her gaze made him pause.
He turned slightly toward her, avoiding full eye contact "Maine kuch kiya kya?" he asked
"Ohh toh ye bhi mai hi btaun?" she snapped back her voice was sharp with bottled-up frustration
