Chapter Two

Kimiko's POV

10 years earlier

I was wandering around a hill near a park that had a large tree, I was staring at my hands that were damaged due to my bow and arrows. I felt tears at the rim of my eye lids, I stopped myself when I heard my name being called.

"Kimi! Kimi!" ______ called to me. I turned to where she was sitting, which was in the large tree we first met each other at.

She jumped down and ran over to me with a huge smile, then she hugged me. Her slick black hair messy as ever just like my silver white.

"_______! _______ , how are you?" I asked her, after she let go of me and we sat on the grass, "Grand-daddy is being so tough on me! But I did improve! I can't wait to use the Katana! What about you? Archery looks like hard work." She said as she pointed to the cuts and burns on my little fingers.

I pulled a fake smile, "It hurts but, I have to make mommy and daddy proud!" I say as I got up, "Do you think they will choose us?" She askes me, "I don't know but if they do, we'll surely win." I smiled and turned back to her, "Right?"

She smiled and was about to respond but her grandfather called for her, "Awww, I have to go now Kimi-chan. I'll come back tomorrow!" She started running off before I could respond so instead I yelled, "Bye bye Yuu-chan!"

Present Time *Ten Years After*

"-ko! Kimiko! Wake up!" I hear my brother yelling. Reluctantly I got out of bed, "Alright Tsuta she's finally up!" He yelled to my sister downstairs, "Thanks Diran!" She yelled back to him.

"*yawn* Is she making breakfast?" I asked him as I walked to my bathroom to freshing up, "Yeah, also you are one deep sleeper! I was calling you for like 3 mins!" He sighed, "Anyway we have news for you so hurry up." And with that he left.

When I got to the dining room my family, Tsuta (older sister), Diran (younger brother) and parents, were eating and staring at a letter.

I gasped and ran over to them, "Is that what I think it is!" I asked in awe. "It is! Now its your turn to go and represent us!" My mom said.

I quickly ate and ran upstairs, 'Yuu-chan! I'm coming!'

I, Kimiko am currently wielding a bow and arrow as my main weapon, taught under my mother.

My father wants me to able to defend myself so I am also currently also practicing the use of knives, swords and my favorite the spear.

As you can see, I was chosen for this year's game!
