I wasn't initially planning on writing about Pushpa ji and Santosh's dealing with the health fiasco. But considering the demand from y'all I've added that, I hope to have done justice to it

SS (interrupted): nahi hoga na amma, hum rakhenge abse apna dhyan, especially apni health ka

Pushpa ji nodded and cupped her face

PS: beta, dekho, tum bohot khaas ho humare liye, aur hum tumhare saath koi risk nahi lenge, kabhi bhi, tum priority ho, humari, aur humare zindagi ki, isliye jab tumhari health ki baat aayi, toh hum thoda ghabra Gaye, aur shayad zyada gussa kar gaye, tumhe, uhm, kharab toh nahi laga na?

Pushpa ji asked hesitantly, Santosh immediately sat up, facing her amma

SS: nahi amma, aap aise mat samajhiye, humne aapko dil se amma maana hai, aur jab hum aapka diya hua itna pyaar batorte hai, aapke haath ka itna swadisht khana khaate hai, aapke saath saare sukh dukh manate hai, toh galtiyo pe aapki punishments, daant, maar, sab manzur hai hume

Saying this, Santu spent no more gap of seconds, instead, she instantly hugged her amma

Both had tearful eyes, and at that moment they knew, they had found a family in each other, after years, they are finally here, they do have someone to refer to as family.

They knew, this is going to be there, through thick and thin. They prayed for each other and then prepared to sleep with some usual chitchat

During the chitchat, Santu did enquire about Karishma, and what Haseena didi told her for the ultimate kaand.

Pushpa ji did tell her a part of it, as she herself wasn't aware. But she did assure her saying "I'm sure, Haseena wouldn't have spared Karishma at all. Maddamsir is already a strict person, be it as a guardian, as an SHO or as the head trainer at the academy, vo bohot discipline oriented hai. And she instills that value in everyone she considers her own, tum dur thi, isliye thodi si punishment mili, Karishma toh samne thi, I'm sure usko padhi hogi kaafi"

SS: kyaaa, maar padhi hogi?

Santosh asked, being scared for her friend

PS: buri vali

Santu's face fell at that, she suddenly felt bad after knowing her friend was in trouble.

SS: mai kal baat kar lungi ekbaar karu se

PS nodded, giving her a forehead kiss

PS: tension mat lo, daant ke saath, baad mei use pampering bhi mili hogi, thik hogi tumhari dost, maddamsir ki jigar ka tukda hai, use udaas nahi dekh payengi vo

Santosh nodded with a smile at this. Pushpa ji was being honest, santu herself noticed that genuineness and love in the sister's bond, she shouldn't worry. But she would still speak to Karishma, to keep in check.

Santosh then began to think about how Pushpaji reacted to the situation.

Flashback:

Pushpaji and Santu were travelling back, from Delhi to Lucknow. Haseena and Karishma had dropped them off at the railway station, and they only left after ensuring that the mother daughter duo had settled in, were comfortable.

Haseena and Karishma stayed inside the train for a while as Karishma requested and Haseena couldn't come to denial. And when the siren rang, signalling for it to be time, for the train to depart the station, they shared a final hug, Santosh and Karishma being emotional.

The duo had unknowingly developed an even better bond, they were getting stronger. They've seen each other's highs and lows from the beginning, it was now that life had taken a turn, and they couldn't be more grateful about it.

Soon the train departed. Haseena waited till they could have a last glance at the train, and then once it was fully gone, she held Karishma's shoulders and asked "chale?"

Karishma nodded quietly.

HM: bohot miss karengi na aap use?

Karishma nodded, "she has always stuck along noor dii, kya hum sach mei Lucknow jaa ke settle ho payenge kabhi?"

Haseena's throat tightened, she wasn't expecting Karishma to ask this, not now atleast. But she composed herself and cupped Karishma's face and responded

HM: police ki job mei sheher ki koi guarantee nahi hoti bache, par hum personally puri koshish karenge, ki humlog Lucknow hi vapas jaa ke settle hoye, vo sheher Kanpur ke paas hai, toh aap amma aur ammi ke karib aa payengi, milna jhulna, sab zyada frequent ho jayega, aur fir, vaha Santosh aur Pushpa ji bhi toh hai, toh hum apni shehzaadi ke liye puri koshish karenge, thik hai?

Karishma nodded, she knew this was the maximum Haseena could do, and she was doing her best. Haseena planted a forehead kiss to Karishma and soon they left to visit the doctor for Karishma's out of blue throat infection.

Meanwhile, in the train:
Pushpa ji and Santosh had been chit chatting from the past 2-3 hours. Already, they'd met way later, there was a whole lot of history, neither knew about the other, they always had something to talk about.

Even at home, half the day would pass with Pushpa ji engulfed in duty and Santosh at school. They did manage to spend some quality time daily, but this, a vacation, was much needed, even if it was work oriented for Pushpa ji, they had a great time.

The train journey proved to become a cherry on the cake. But this time, the chat was different, Santosh kept on blabbering about how her and Karishma's friendship has been, of how Haseena was such a perfect elder sister, and too good as a person, a perfect match for Karishma.

However, she did admit that she'll miss the duo alot more.

SS: amma

PJ: bolo gudiya

SS: hum Delhi settle nahi ho sakte kya?

PJ chuckled at this, Santosh was really innocent

PJ: hone ki koshish kar sakte the, par hum idhar settle hoke bhi kya karenge gudiya? Maddamsir aur Karishma toh khud 1 saal ke andar transfer le lenge

Santosh got a little upset at this

SS: toh vo Lucknow hi aayenge na? Haina amma? Mai Haseena didi ko request karungi

PJ: I'm sure tumhari Haseena didi puri jee Jaan laga dengi ki unka agla transfer Lucknow mei ho

Santosh smiled at this, she was already imagining life with Karishma, again. This time, with Haseena included as well, she loved the idea of having an elder sister like Karishma, though she never admitted that, and she knows she never will either.

It was late in the afternoon, Santosh lay on her seat, half sleeping, half scrolling on her mobile phone. Pushpa ji was done resting. She got up from her seat to check upon santu whose seat was directly above pushpa Ji's.

She saw her face, pale, why? She wondered. She checked, Santosh was burning, she had high fever. Now she knows why she wasn't responding when Pushpa Ji's called out her name.

Pushpa ji panicked, they were travelling, how will she manage? Santosh was suffering, she was shivering.

Aaj ke liye bas itna hi...
