SS+KS: ammaaa, ammiiii (they almost wailed), dekho na didi kooo

And here Haseena burst out laughing

HM: hum badhe hai, hum rakh sakte hai

She said with a wink and went towards her room with the soft toy with a smile that came from relief

Before leaving, she heard ammi consoling them

Ammi: areh beta, mai tum dono ke liye kal hi same soft toy le aaungi

KS: pakka na?

SS: aap itni dur jaoge?

Ammi: ab meri raniyo ko yehi pasand hai toh yehi sahi, mai le aaungi kal pakka

KS+SS: yayyyyy

They celebrated in joy.

That night, everyone slept at peace. Except for the two beings, ammi and Haseena.

Haseena was working on a file. She was overworking and this was noticed by Karishma from the past 2 days. But she decided to talk about it the next day.

Karishma and Santosh tumbled upon each other. Haseena smiled looking at them, they were just fighting like enemies an hour ago.

That's how siblings were supposed to be. Always.

She sighed, she missed appi, she wanted to tell Karishma about her, she knew Karishma had questions, but she wasn't sure how to address them yet.

She wasn't sure how much, if anything at all, did Karishma remember.

She could sense it in her shehzaadi's eyes, the faint questions, the unknowing mentions of old incidents.

She had to do this, she thought, a lone tear escaped from her eyes as she wrote a letter.

She folded it neatly and kept it in a blue file. She then, met ammi, and went to sleep.

The next morning, everyone had breakfast peacefully

SS: Haseena dii, suno na

HM: hmm, bolo

SS: mai aur karu ammi ke saath vo soft toy lene chale jaaye?

Haseena glared at her for that, the audacity, she thought. Santosh knew Karishma had exams, and even Santosh had skipped school to be here.

HM: I dare you to repeat that

Haseena said, sternly

Santosh gulped at the sudden shift in tone, Karishma elbowed her, to apologise or else the consequences wouldn't be something Santosh would like.

Karishma was well aware of her Noor Di's anger. And this was definitely not the time to test her patience.

HM: bolo?

SS: nahi... Nhi... Sorry (she mumbled, almost whispered)

HM: Karishma (she called)

KS: jii noor dii? (She answered, like the most obedient child on planet, no risks she thought)

HM: hum lunch time tak aa jayenge, aapko jo target diya hai, utni padhai ho jaani chahiye, hum aa ke check karenge, after lunch

Karishma nodded at the instructions

HM: and Santosh you don't get to skip studies either

SS: par, mai toh vacation pe hu na

HM: isliye 2 din se kuch nahi kaha na maine, but ab no more.
