Everyone glanced at the sudden voice. But Karishma was too lost to even listen.

Haseena tried again, no response.

She called her for the fourth time her patience going away. She glanced at everyone, they were almost done eating. Only she and Karishma were left.

On receiving no response she grabbed an eraser kept nearby and threw it towards Karishma.

It went and hit on Karishma's head

KS: ouchh, kya hai? (She asked, irritated, coming out from her world)

Haseena glared at her, on making eye contact, Karishma realised it was Haseena who threw the eraser on her

KS: aise kya dekh rhe ho? Kya hai aapko? Kyu maara?

HM: kyu maara matlab? Samne khaana padha hai, usko khaya jaata hai, niharne ke liye nahi rakha hai

Karishma looked at her plate and then at the other's only to realise, she had hardly eaten 50% of what Haseena had served on her plate.

While the others had completed eating their lunch, the only exception was Haseena. But she also knew, it was because of her, so she didn't question that.

KS: han toh kha lenge na, aap aise bhi bol sakti thi, eraser kyu maara (she chided)

Ammi, Santosh and Amma had known Karishma for a good enough time to know, she didn't mean it.

She was taking out some frustration on Haseena. Haseena was aware as well, but she was adamant on making her chhoti eat first.

HM: 2 thappad bhi lagayenge agar 10min mei khana khatam nahi hua toh, samjhi?

Karishma felt her guards go down at this, she shouldn't have taken it out on Haseena, she thought.

She was also a little upset at the warning by Haseena, she didn't feel like eating, at all.

She was worried, all that remained in her mind was the mission. She didn't want to lose Haseena to it.

She knew they had to talk, but she also knew Haseena very well. She would never prioritize anything over Karishma's health.

And skipping meals was a strict no. Karishma's eyes glistened, as she fixed her gaze at the plate.

She heard everyone get up from the table having completed their food.

But she could feel one gaze, fixed on her, as if watching every movement, observing every thought that crossed her mind. Has to be her Noor dii she thought.

She got lost again, in her thoughts, her pace of eating slowed down, but this time, her trance was broken by a hand with a morsel of roti and sabzi infront of her mouth

Finally she averted her eyes from the plate and glanced upwards

KS(whispered): noor dii

Haseena nodded as she forwarded the morsel. Karishma took it gladly.

Haseena then, continued feeding her, while Karishma kept altering her gaze between the plate and Haseena.

No one spoke, but the once awkward silence was now turning into a comfortable one.

Noor dii always had it in her, to make things better, Karishma thought.

As the food finished, Haseena got up to wash her hands when Karishma held her.
