I watched her leave

I watched her leave.

The door didn't slam. She didn't storm out.
She left the way someone does when they know they're coming back.

And still—
My chest felt too hollow for 5 a.m.

The sheets smelled like her. The pillows were a mess. My lips were swollen. My body felt like I'd been in a storm.
But my head?

Worse.

I lay back, arm behind my head, staring at the ceiling like it could answer everything.

Tara Malhotra.
I killed for her.
I'd ruin for her.
But now?
Now I was scared.

Not of her. Never of her.
But of the truth.

Because something didn't add up.

She thought I killed Padam Malhani. I didn't. Never even seen that guy before last night. But someone wanted her to believe I did.
And not just anyone.
Her dad.

The man who raised her. Fed her lies.
And she believed him. For three years.

My jaw clenched.

That was what broke me. Not the fights. Not the screaming. Not even the crying.
But knowing she thought I could kill her brother.

My phone buzzed.
I didn't check it. Couldn't.

I rolled over, grabbing the laptop again. Opened the same folder.
Surya Malhani. Rajkumar Singh. Harishankar Trivedi.
Dead men. All deserved it.

But now?

Now I needed to know who the fuck Padam Malhani really was.
And why someone wanted his blood on my hands.

Was it Ishita?
Her father?
Tara's father?

My mind spun.

And somewhere between theories and flashbacks, a thought hit me—

What if this wasn't just about revenge?
What if it was about Tara?

Because suddenly, it felt too targeted.
Too personal.
Someone had gone out of their way to make her hate me. To isolate her. To ruin her.

And now they were crawling back into our lives again.

I sat up, lit a cigarette, and opened a new tab.

If they think this is over...
They forgot who the hell I am.

Rehan Singh Rajput.
I don't forget.
I don't forgive.
And when I love—
I protect.

Even if I have to burn down the whole damn world to do it.

I couldn't sleep. I tried... but my head was a mess.

After a while, I checked my phone. 7:03 AM.

I picked up my phone. Scrolled to her name.
Ishita.

Called her.
