So I am REALLY sorry about not updating this story for so long. I got side tracked by my other book - She may be your baby, but I'm not your mate -. It seems that I can't work on two stories at once and still post as often as I usually do lol. I promise though that I will try to keep working on this book for those that are reading it.
As it goes for this chapter. Its time for Ryan and Irene to head to Farway since Robert and Katrine decided to go through with the wedding. Only this time they're heading back as a couple! =D woot woot. They won't advertise it at first, so it will come as a shock to everyone in farway, but eventually they will get used to it =P.
Anyway, as I promised, I will be working actively on this story, just don't expect me to post as often as I do SMBYB.
Don't forget to vote and comment! Dedication goes to either or lol
Happy readings!

"I suppose I get the pleasure of you riding with me." Ryan teased with a smug grin on his face.
Irene would've slapped him on the shoulder if she were close enough, but she was still safely in the doorway of the cottage, wearing a hooded fur coat to keep her warm. She had been slow to come outside as her eyes adjusted to the light reflecting off the snow, but step by step she made it closer to Ryan, who was quick to sweep her up in his arms and lift her onto the horse. Something with the look on his face told Irene that he was thuroughly enjoying himself, and the thing was that she couldn't complain. She was enjoying herself as well.
"Just don't get any ideas." she muttered softly as he made sure that everything on the horse was secure.
"Yeah, well. If that was really all I wanted," Ryan began as he took his spot behind Irene, "I would've already done it."
Irene gave a small laugh of disbelief, but Ryan knew that she believed him. If she really believed that he would go that far without her permission, she wouldn't be sitting as close. She was leaning back, letting her head rest on his arm as he grabbed onto the reigns. She was letting her guard down. It was something that she never did unless she was completely comfortable around them, and that made Ryan smile. Things were finally working out.
"We'll ride just past Ferraidan and stop at the Ferraidan pass." Veral began as he joined them on the other horse with Shaina sitting behind him, "We'll be taking the dragon from there."
"Wait." Irene began slowly, pulling her head up again, "You've had the dragon all of this time, and we're riding horses."
"You seem to forget how much attention a dragon draws to itself," Veral chuckled, "and besides, it would've cause an avalance here."
Irene normally would've argued, but she seemed to see the reasoning in his words and stayed quiet. It surprised Ryan still. For him to not see her get worked up and defensive the first time someone proved her wrong was a new thing to him. This was the Irene that he'd been missing out on? Where was she all of his life? Then he remembered that she was widowed for half of it and immediately frowned.
She still hadn't told him how they had died, but considering the memories were just as fresh as the part of her mind that she had regained, he didn't push it. After watching the way the she reacted to his question the night before, he didn't want to put her through that again. He might be able to handle whatever was thrown at him, but she wouldn't.
"Makes sense." She muttered to herself as they began their long treck down the montain.
Ryan hadn't paid much attention to the scenery on the way up, not that he would've been able to see much through the heavy snow, but still. As he looked around him now, he realized just how beautiful and amazing it was. One might all him a softie, but he always liked the look and feel of nature. He grew up in it. Its where he belonged. Of course Irene was now a part of that world, that is if she wanted to be.
