"(M/C)!" cried a voice.
"Lia!" (M/C) was struggling to get through crowds of people. "I'm here!".
"(M/C)!" It wasn't Lia crying out his name. The scene changed and (M/C) found himself on a dark shore, winged creatures hiding in the shadows. There were two people, possibly a couple. He couldn't see their faces.
"You mustn't come here. If you do, you will perish,".
"Who are you?" (M/C) demanded.
"It doesn't matter," The woman next to the man said. "You must not come here,".
"But my friend needs me,".
"Your life is too important for the sake of multiverse and every world. If you die, everything perishes,".
"Not as long as I have my friends. They have loved ones here too,".
"The price is too high!" The man begged.
"What, price?".
"Pain!".

(M/C)'s eyes flashed open. His heart was pounding rapidly. Who were those people talking to him? And why were they telling him so desperately not to come to the Land of the Dead? He lay still for a long while, staring up at the starry sky. A tear fell from his eyes. Could they be his parents?

"Dad!" (Y/N) kept crying out his name. "Dad, where are you?".
"I'm here, baby girl. I'm here!".
(Y/N) was shoving through masses of people, trying to reach her father, but he was being pushed forward, unable to take her reaching hand. "(Y/N)!". Dark winged figures were roaming above their heads. They attacked her father.
'Nooo!".

(Y/N)'s eyes flashed open. Her friends were all asleep. Aster woke up beside her. "(Y/N),".
"It was the same dream again, Aster. Dad needs us. I can't bear seeing him like this without Hester,". She suddenly winced. Her wings were fading in and out. "It still hurts a lot, and when it does, I feel my scars from Bolvanger,".
"Don't mention that. Just don't," Aster begged, nuzzling her face. She lay back down again, his Arctic Fox form snuggling against her chest.
"(Y/N), I know what you've been thinking. You don't want to hurt Lyra by going to Asriel with Will,".
"I know. But I feel that if I do that, I'd be dishonouring Will's father. If we don't, it means he and Dad died for nothing, but I want to save my father too,".
"We have to talk about this all together tomorrow,".
"We will. For now, let's just get some sleep,".
