"Luke, I'm seriously right outside your freaking apartment. Get your happy but out here and help me get some of this crap inside. I need to rest," I yell into the phone before hanging up and slippinh it back into my jacket pocket. Seconds later I see him emerge from the corner loft and walk towards my truck. After years of not seeing him and only communicating via letters, Luke still makes my heart skip a beat. I notice he still walks with a confident stride, before he makes it to the driver side door. He slides on hand in his pocket and the other behind his neck and looks at me quizickly before I open the door and jump out, wrapping my arms around him and pulling him in for a tight hug. His lips brush the top of my hair and he let's his arms slide gently around my waist. "My gosh, have I missed you Maci," he murmers. "
I pull away slightly and look up at him before leaning and pecking his cheek with my lips. "I've missed you too Luke. It's so good to see you. You look amazing!" He grins his boyish grin before bending down and kissing the side of my lips softly. "Psh, I look good? Look at you. Spin around and let me see!" I blush and obey, spinning on my heels fast. His hands reach out and wrap around my hips, as he leans down again, pressing his lips to my right ear, "I meant slowly Maci. I miss seeing your curves." If my cheeks weren't red before, they definitely were now! I playfully shove him away and reach back for his hand, hoping he takes the hint and leads me into his place. After almost a day and a half of driving, I'm so tired I think I could sleep for days. My stomachs growls reminding me that I also haven't ate in almost 24 hours. Luke steps in front of me and begins leading me to the door before slamming it open and dropping my overnight bag on the floor. I let my eyes travel around the front room, taking in my surroundings. For a college student, this man seriously knew how to decorate. My eyes find the couch and I instantly run to it, jumping up and falling into it. I hear him chuckle at my kiddish behavior as he makes his way to me. "I hope you know, you're more than welcome to sleep in my bed. I know it won't be as comfortable as a beaten down couch but the plus side is, I'll be in it." My cheeks burned again in embarrassment. Seriously, Maci, you need to get yourself together. This blushing all the time is getting way weird. "I'll take you up on that offer but first I need food," I mumbled. My stomache growled again only emphasizing my point of how bad I needed to eat. Luke let out a chuckle and headed into the kitchen. I should have followed but I felt too weak to even get up off the couch for more than a couple seconds. The soft fabric wrapped me up and I couldn't help but lay my head down on the arm and shut my eyes for a couple moments. At least that's what I thought it was but before I realized it, I was starting to drift off into sleep and I didn't have the energy to wake myself back up. He'll understand, right? He's used to traveling too.
