2 Months Later

Hayes and I have been dating for two months now. Everyone knows about it but Nash because of some rules he has. Maybe it's because he wants everyone to be focused or something. My 18th birthday was last month and it was honestly the best I've ever had.

It was currently 9:30 and I was driving home from a day full of errands. I've been out since about 3:00, and I'm just exhausted

I was stopped at a red light when I got a text.

When are you getting home? I haven't seen you all day.😩- Hayes

I know. I'm on my way now.- Danica

K. Hurry, I have a surprise for you😘- Hayes

I know we've been dating for two months but I still get butterflies whenever he calls me babe or sends me the kissy face emojis or something.

I was driving on through the woods, because that's the way to the house, when the car suddenly stopped. I tried starting it up again but it wouldn't work.

The house was about a mile up the road and it was pitch black outside.

I picked up my phone and dialed Hayes' number in my phone. It said the number was unavailable so I called Mahogany. It did the same thing.

I called all the other guys but the exact same thing happened. I tried texting Hayes but the text wouldn't send.

I decided to get out of the car and walk the rest of the way. I know it's a bad idea and all, but it's kinda the only choice I have.

I put on my jacket, phone, carkeys, and got out of the car.

I've been walking for about ten minutes now, and I'm honestly a little paranoid.

After a few minutes I heard footsteps behind me.

I was scared to look back because I knew I wouldn't like what I was gonna see.

I finally had the guts to look back and there were two guys walking on each side of the road. They were both walking several feet behind me.

I started to walk faster because this was really creepy.

I started to jog then soon lost them.

I came up to a car parked on the middle of the road, and I knew exactly what would happen next. It was all too familiar.

I turned back around and started sprinting back without even paying attention, causing me to run into something hard.

I fell right on my butt and looked up to see a tall man towering over me.

I screamed at the top of my lungs then sprinted into the woods, hoping they wouldn't find me there.

I ran for about ten minutes straight. I needed to stop running before I passed out, and the thick, cold air didn't help at all.

I didn't know how far in the woods I was, and I was too scared and tired to focus. I was crying really hard, and my tears were fogging out my vision.

The pitch black surrounded me, making me feel more nervous. There could be anything around me.

I heard a few twigs snap to my right, so I snapped my head in that direction.

I pulled out my phone and dialed in Hayes' number.

He picked up the phone on the second ring.

"Hey Dan--" "Hayes, I need you." My voice was shaky and my cheeks were tear stained "Danica? What's wrong?" His voice raised "They found me. Please he--" A gun went off, I screamed, and everything went black.

Hayes' POV

I was sitting on the couch, waiting for Danica to get home. She's been busy all week, and I just want to spend time with her.

I set up Netflix on the computer, and put it down on the patio by the pool. The outdoor furniture was set up so it would be really comfortable. And I put on Empire because I know how much she loves that show.

I was sitting in the living room, watching MTV when I was getting a call. It was from Danica.

I pressed accept then held it up to my ear.

"Hey Dan--" "Hayes, I need you." She sounded very upset, which made me really worried "Danica? What's wrong?" I raised my voice "They found me. Please he--" A gun went off, I heard her scream, and the line went dead.

I could feel my chest tightening and my stomach turning. I dropped my phone and ran my fingers through my hair. I could feel my eyes filling up with tears.

I ran to the door and slipped on my shoes then grabbed the keys off of the hook.

I sprinted to the garage and got into a car. It didn't matter which one, I just grabbed random keys and got into a car.

I sped through the loopy woods, looking for any sign of Danica.

I saw a car parked on the side of the road, it was Danica's car.

I came to an abrupt stop and got out of the car.

I jogged to the car and ran to the window.

The car was unlocked so I opened the door but no one was there.

I slammed the door and put my face in my hands.

I turned off the car and turned on my phone flashlight then headed into the woods.

-

"Danica!" I yelled

I've been searching for Danica for about and hour now and I'm exhausted.

"Danica." I called out one last time, a little quieter before dropping my hands to my sides.

She's gone. She's really gone.

One day she was in my arms, the next she's nowhere to be found.

I wasn't gonna give up. I have to find her.

I dialed her phone number in my phone and called her.

I heard a phone ringing behind me. I looked behind me and saw an iPhone on the ground, the screen was lit up, and it had my contact across the screen.

I bent down and picked it up.

I saw little drops of blood on the leaves by the phone.

My eyes filled with tears again because she really is gone. They killed her.

She was mine, all mine. But they took her away from me.

The love of my life is gone.
