Chapter 11
An entire year passes.
The next winter I couldn't help myself. I went to Farrah's old house and neighborhood. The streets were the same, the houses, the people hadn't grown that much.
The snow was piling down the way I liked it when I saw a small shadow in the corner of my eye. I quickly did a three-sixty but, no one was there.
I figured, It could've been two things; my imagination or actually something.
"Is anybody up here?" I paused, "Anyone that can actually hear me?"
I heard a thud on the ground below and then scampering footsteps. I followed the noise until I was in a clear field, the ground covered in snow.
"Okay, this isn't funny!" I looked around and around, again and again.
"So you can see me then?" A small voice came from behind me.
I whipped around to see a familiar-ish girl. She looked like, Farrah, however, she had long vine like hair with small leaves growing throughout.
"Yes?" I came closer to her but she backed away.
"Oh thank god. Please help," she grabbed my hand and stared at me with the brightest green eyes I've ever seen. "No one else can see me, and I don't know who I am!"
Well doesn't the man on the moon think he's so clever. Doing this to another poor kid. And Farrah of all people?
"Has the man on the moon talked to you?" I watched her continue to hold my hand without a care. Wasn't it cold? Farrah's hand would've fell off by now.
"Yes, but only once."
"Did he tell you you're name?"
"He said that I was Farrah. Is that true, am I Farrah? Do I know you?"
"You do know me, we're good friends," I scratched my head. Did The man on the moon do this for me? He couldn't have... "My name is Jack Frost."
"Nice to meet you again, I guess, Jack."
"It's nice to see you again too. In all honesty I thought I'd never be able to see you again."
"Oh, okay. Well I'm glad that we were able to reunite then."
I placed both my hands in my pocket," You haven't noticed any like, powers almost have you?"
"Well, that's kind of a weird question but I guess. I've been to follow the wind through the skies, I can control the growth of a lot of plants, I'm can speak to animals, and so on."
"That's so cool," I smiled, "You don't mind just, filling me in on things. Just it a bit..."
"Okay, will you tell me anything about me?"
It was so nice to talk to her. I didn't want to tell her all that much or that we were an 'item' or anything like that. That would probably freak her out. Even so, It felt like a dream. I was falling in love with her all over again.
"Thank you for finding me," She abruptly hugged me tightly. Even though she didn't remember me or who she is...
"Thank you for finding me too."
