Chapter 17

 Jemmas pov:

I woke up to our alarm going off, Nat must have turned it on last night before she went to sleep. I rolled over and checked my phone. No new messages which didn’t really surprise me. Nat rolled over and looked at me with a huge smile on her face.

 'What are you so happy about?' I asked her

 'Do you know what is in 4 days?' She replies

 'Remind me again, I think I may have forgotten'

 'Our 17th birthday' she yelled as she got out of bed and jumped on top of me

 'Ohh yep now I remember! Now get in the shower we have school in an hour' I told her

 Nat and I had always loved our birthday. We thought it was the most fun ever even though we had to celebrate together it was still our favourite day of the year. Every year we would wake up early and have to sit and wait for Mum and Dad to wake up before we could get our presents. Jasper likes to celebrate our birthday with us, he never celebrates his birthday because all he thinks is it’s another year that has gone by without Carter.

Nat had finished in the bathroom so I hopped in then got dressed in my school dress. I was putting my hair up in a side pony as Nat walked in and nudged me so she could us the mirror as well.

 'What do you want to do for our birthday this year' she asked me

 'I think I just want to go out for tea and maybe Cal could come'

 'Good idea but Luke has to come too'

 We had finished our hair and brushed our teeth and were walking down stairs. We walked into the kitchen to get out lunch ready when I saw Cal and Luke whispering to Mum.

 'Cal what are you doing here' I asked as I ran over and gave him a hug

 'I was getting your lunch ready for you' he said

 I turned around and saw two sandwiches sitting on the bench. Luke must have made one for Nat as well.

 'But why are you at my house' I asked Cal as I pulled out of the hug and looked in his eyes

 'Isn’t a guy aloud to walk his Girlfriend to school' he said as he was about to turn around and walk out as a joke

 'Yess' I yelled as I grabbed his hand and pulled him back for another hug

 I looked over to Nat who was on Luke’s back, and she gave me the confused look. She was just as confused as me.

 School went quick that week Nat made a new friend in her art class called Kasey. She seems really nice and Nat was happy to have made a new female friend.

 Natalies pov:

 It was Friday night and I had forgotten to ask Luke if he wanted to come out for tea with me and my family tomorrow in the City for my birthday. So I decided to text him

 * Hey Lukey I forgot to ask u today, would u like to come out for tea with my fam tomorrow in the City? xx miss you already *

  He replied almost instantly as always

 * Sorry babe I have this really important band meeting I don’t think I’ll be able to leave. Could we celebrate on Sunday? Miss you more xx *

 I looked over to Jem who was lying on her bed watching YouTube

 'Hey Jem is Cal coming tomorrow night?' I asked her

 'No he said he had band rehearsals or something' she said as she pulled her headphones out and looked at me upset

 'Yeah so did Luke, I wish they could come' I said a bit disappointed

 I replied to Luke

 *Yeah sure, I just really wanted to spend tomorrow with you :( Sunday will have to do.. Love you <3 xx*

*So sorry beautiful, I promise I will spend all Sunday with you. love you too gorgeous girl <3 xo* he replied

 I sat my phone down on my bed and watched a movie before we fell asleep. Jem and I watched a movie before well fell asleep excited for our birthday tomorrow.
