Four New Friends (5sos fanfic)

Chapter 5

Calum’s pov:

I had just run upstairs with Jem to her room, and saw Nat and Luke sitting on her bed together. The radio was on and Jem started singing along quietly.

‘I have an Idea’

I said a little bit too loud. I jumped off Jem’s bed and scooted across on to Nat’s so I was next to Luke.

‘what’s your idea’ Luke asked me.

I motioned for him to turn his head then whispered in his ear ‘help me sing to Jem, please’

Luke just smiled then whispered back ‘as long as I can sing to Nat too’

I jumped up off of Nat’s bed then asked Jem if she had a guitar I could borrow. She said her brother Jasper had a guitar I could borrow seeing as though it’s still in the garage from when they moved here. ‘Yay’ I yelled a little too excited!!

Luke’s pov:

‘Nat and I will go get it’ I told Cal

Nat didn’t really seem to mind she just jumped up and led the way. I just followed behind her as her  pony tail swayed side to side. Nat stopped at the garage door and smiled at me before opening it. She opened the door and stepped in slowly, the garage was pitch black. I walked in slowly staying close to her.

‘Do you know where the light switch is’ I asked

‘Nope, first time I’ve been in here. Luke I’m scared, I can’t see anything’

‘It’s ok I’m here’ I replied as I searched around for her hand before intertwining my fingers in hers.

‘Thanks Luke you’re the best’ she said before slowly walking forward searching for the light switch.

As Nat was walking forward she must have tripped because all of a sudden she squealed and pulled me down on top of her, followed by a loud thud.

‘Are you ok Nat’ I asked as I slowly rolled off of her, trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness to see if she was hurt.

‘Yes I’m fine Luke’ she said before breaking out into a fit of laughter

We were both lying on the ground laughing hand in hand, when the light switched on. We both jumped up and saw her Mum standing at the door looking at us. ‘Sorry mum we were just looking for Jasper’s guitar, and I couldn’t find the switch’ Nat said almost instantly trying to make this look less awkward then it already was. ‘Sweetie why didn’t you come tell me I could have showed you, it’s just here by the door silly’ Nat’s mum said pointing to the light. ‘Woops ill know for next time, this is Luke. Luke this is Rachael’ Nat said as she introduced us. ‘Nice to meet you Luke, well I’ll leave you two too it’ she replied. As soon as Rachael left Nat looked so embarrassed.

‘What’s wrong your mum is sweet’ I asked

‘Nothing, let’s just find this guitar’

We grabbed the guitar and headed back up stairs. As we walked in Jemma said ‘finally what took so long?’ Long story I replied. What are we going to sing I yelled to him seeing as though he was daydreaming? He jumped up a bit shocked then whispered ‘Beside You’. Both the girls mouths dropped before they yelled in unison ‘you guys can sing?’  We didn’t reply I just sat on the end of the bed and sung as Calum played the guitar and came in after me.

~ Within a minute I was all packed up, I’ve got a ticket to another world ~

~ She sleeps alone, my heart wants to come home, I wish I was I wish I was ~

I looked up at Nat and saw her staring at me before coming up and wrapping her arms around me. Then whispering in my ear ‘That was perfect, You are perfect’. I had the biggest smile on my face. Did she really just say I was perfect, maybe she has feelings for me. I was just in the happiest mood as I continued to hug Nat.

Calum’s pov:

When Nat and Luke went to get the guitar from downstairs Jem had told me she was starting to get feeling for me. I didn’t know what to say, I mean I know I had feelings for her too. I had the first time we meet on the plane, I knew there was something special about her. I just didn’t know what to say. So instead of making it complicated I replied ‘I think I have feelings for too’. Then sat next to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She blushed and we just sat there with my arms wrapped around eachother until we heard the others coming back.

Luke and I sang for the girls while I played the guitar also.  I was so happy to have finally sung to Jem, I was always more confident in front of girls if I sang to them rather than talked to them.

 After that the girls were asking heaps of questions like

‘How long have you been singing?’

‘Do you sing together often?’

So Luke and I explained how were in a band with Ashton and Michael and how we put covers on YouTube. Also that when we met Jemma on the plane we were actually coming home from a gig in Melbourne.

They were so excited and wanted to hear more. So we sang our cover of forever my father and a couple others that they requested. Right in this moment everything was perfect.
