*DYLANS POV*

When I wake up, Maia is still in my arms. Her slow breathing comforts me, and reminds me that she is safe.

There are no words to describe last night. It was amazing. I could feel the connection between us, and it was strong. Stronger than ever before. I feel her stir and lift my arm from her waist. She sighs and turns over with her deep brown eyes gazing into mine.

"Good morning." She whispers.

I kiss her lightly and smile.

"Good morning." I reply.

"I wonder if May and Jeff know I'm here." I furrow my eyebrows.

"I don't care if they do." She states. She sits up and leans on her palms.

"How are you feeling?" I ask.

"Good...a little sore, but good." She looks over at me and smiles.

She looks different. If you ask me, I would say she's glowing. But I'm sure I am too.

"What?" She laughs.

"Nothing...your just beautiful that's all." I shrug and I see her cheeks redden.

"I'm gonna take a shower." She gets up and heads into the bathroom.

I hear the shower turn on and lay back on her bed. Moments later I hear hums coming from the bathroom and I smirk.

Okay I'm goin in.

"No you will not!" She shouts.

"What? How-" I open the door and step inside the bathroom.

"I can hear your thoughts and feelings. More than before I guess."

"Hmm." I smirk.

"Dylan. You cannot take a shower with me." She says.

"Fine." I grumble.

I exit the bathroom and look for my phone. I see that I have a message from my dad.

Dad: "Where are you?"

Me: "I went for a run. I'll be home soon." I reply.

I feel bad for lying, but they will know about Maia and I soon enough. My phone vibrates with another text.

Dad: "Okay."

"Dylan? Can you hand me a towel?"Maia asks from the shower.

I grab a towel from the rack and hand it to her.

"Thank you." She wraps it around her body and steps closer.

Our fingers intertwine and she leans into my body.

We hear a knock at the door and she looks up at me with wide eyes.

"Get in the shower." She whispers and motions towards the curtains.

"Hold on!" She shouts.

I get behind the curtains and listen for the door to open. When it opens I hear muffled voices. Maia steps into her room and shuts the door behind her. I wait a few minutes before the door opens again.

"Dylan you can come out now." She laughs and pulls back the curtain.

"What did they want?" I ask.

"They wanted to know if I wanted to go to lunch with them..." She trails off and leans up against the counter.

"You should go! It would be good for you, and for them."
