Heya Guys!!!! Sorry It's so short...again! Wanted to leave you hanging! :P
Marcus's POV
"Hey, Claira. It's Marcus." I say into the phone.
"Oh...hi Marcus..." Claira responds, sounding bewildered.
"Hey, I don't mean to like put you on the spot or anything...but, I was wondering if you wanted to go to a movie with me on Friday night."
Smooth. Good.
"Ummm....ya sure!" She chirps into the phone.
I smile. "Great, so, see ya at school tomorrow."
"Kay, bye Marcus!" Claira hangs up.
This was working well. I just needed to make one more call. I picked up my cell and punched in the phone number. "Sup?" My friend Dylan drawls into the phone.
"I need a favour."
"Sure thing dude, what is it?" Dylan asks.
"You know Charli right? Charli Caine?" I said.
"Umm......oh! Brunette, super hot?"
I grit my teeth. "Ya that's her. So, her address is 269 Grafton Cres. Kay?"
"Yup" Dylan says popping the p.
"This is what I need you to do...."
This was going to be too easy.
Charli's POV
The halls were silent for a moment as I walked through them, then they would erupt in low whispers. Whispers about me. God I wanted to hurt Marcus so bad for doing this to me. I placed my hand instinctively over my stomach and continued pretending not to notice the stairs. I felt terrible, my breakfast churned in my stomach. "Hey."
It was Jack. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"G...gonna be sick." I manage.
He springs into action, dragging me down the hall to the girl's bathroom, shoving me into a stall. I throw up. "Ughh." I groan, pushing the stall door open.
Jack is standing, propped up against one of the sinks. "Hey! You shouldn't be in here! This is the girl's bathroom!" I almost yell.
"You're welcome." Jack smiles.
I sigh, "Thank you."
"No problem."
I grab Jack's arm and pull him out of the bathroom. "Shit, I'm late. I gotta go." I mutter.
I turn around and walk away. I can feel Jack's eyes staring at me and I have to force myself not to turn and look.
"Charli!" Claira squeals, "Guess what?"
"What?" I'm not really paying attention to her.
"Guess!"
I sigh. "Your house turned into a large pink marshmallow?"
"No! Marcus asked me out!"
I freeze. Oh my god! Claira cannot seriously be going out with that asshole. "S...ser...seriously?" I stutter.
"Ya! Wait, are you mad at me? I thought you two were over." Claira asks, her enthusiasm disappearing.
"What? No! It's fine."
"Good! Cuz he's smoking!" Claira laughs.
I fake laugh, taking a sip of my sprite. "Well, I gotta go, bye Char."
"Bye."
Claira turned to leave. "Wait!"
"What?" Claira asks.
"Claira, just...just be careful kay? Promise me to be careful." I blurt.
She frowns, "Why?"
"Just cuz. Bye."
I stand up, dump the remainder of my sprite in the trash can. I need a walk. I need to think. I take the trail along the river. I breathe in the fresh air. Perfect. I don't notice them until I'm on the ground.
