Charli's POV
"What the hell!" Claira screamed.
"Hush up! Your dad will come up if your gonna be so loud." I whisper/yelled.
Claira nodded and gulped. "Oh Charli, what happened?"
I burst into tears. Damn it Charli! Get a grip! Claira dashed over to me and encircled me in her arms. How many times have I cried into some ones shoulder in the past week? More times than I could think of. What was happening to me? I was turning into a softie! "And where have you been?" Claira demanded, her voice turning stern, "Your mom called me like, 5 times!"
"Yeah...I was....with someone." I mutter looking at my feet.
"Oh my god! You were with Jack were'nt you?"
"I said someone! Why do you think I was with Jack?" I ask innocently.
Claira snorted, "Yeah, whatever. Btu why are you all beat up? did he do something?Oh my god, did Jack beat you?"
Her voice was rising to this shrill pitch it always did when she was one the verge of hysterics.
"No! this wasn't Jack's fault. It...it's nothing."
"Bullshit!" Claira cried.
I sighed, "Cliara I came to you because I didn't want to answer any questions. Your my best friend, your supposed to trust me."
"Maybe I would trust you if you actually told me stuff and didn't lie."
I froze. So that was it. Claira didn't trust me. Well, why should she? In the past month I had lied to her so much. What's one more lie? "I'm just worried about the baby and everything."
I saw Claira's facial expressions soften. "Of course, O'm so sorry. I...I was being selfish. Your going through so much."
I smiled. "Thank you. You have no idea how much you helping means to me."
"Psh, girl, anything for you."
I laughed, "Could I stay at your house tonight?"
"'Course."
I settled down on her bed, pulling the blankets over me. I sighed, content for the moment. I fell into an easy sleep.
Jack's POV
I can't believe that a$$hole! He effing raped her! I am gonna kill him! Shit, I'm reacting like a boyfriend. Hell, I don't care.
I heard a soft knock on my door. "Jack?" Carrie asked timidly.
"Yeah princess? What's up?"
Carrie crossed my room to sit on my bed beside me. "Tell me your problem."
I laughed. "What?"
"You look all sad and I know it's about the girl that came here earlier."
"How do you know that?"
"Cuz I'm magic." Carrie announced proudly.
"Oh."
"So, why are you sad?"
Carrie came towards me, resting her face in her hands, staring intently at me. I coughed uncomfortably. It was really weird to be grilled by your 7 year old sister. "Umm...I can't tell you."
"Oh! Did she tell you not to tell anyone?" Carrie's eyes went really wide.
"umm...sorta?" I said hesitantly.
"Is it a secret?"
"Yeah...I guess."
By now Carrie's eyes were as wide as saucers. "So..tell me!"
"I can't Carrie, it's a secret." I say trying to sound as though I wanted to tell her. Which I kinda did, I needed to tell someone.
"Psh, secrets are meant to be told."
Wow, this is creeping me out. She sounds like a 60-year-old English lady. Since when do people say psh?
"Please?"
She put on her adorable puppy-dog pout. It kinda resembled Puss-In-But's cute face from Shrek. You know what I'm talking about right?
I caved. "Ugh, fine."
"YAY!"
Carrie jumped up, gave me a hug, then settled into her stuffy English shrink role. "So..tell me."
"Well, you know that girl that was here earlier. Well a guy did something really bad to her, and just a bit ago, he hurt her again. And she was really scared so she came here."
"Ohmigosh!" Carrie squealed, readjusting the pink plastic tiara on her head. "She's your princess isn't she? You're her Prince Charming! And the bad man is the dragon right! It's just like in all the stories! Your supposed to get married now!"
She was talking so fast, that it took me quite a while to process what she just said. Me and Charli getting married...mhhhmmmm...that sounded nice. WAIT!
"WHAT? Charli is NOT my princess. I am NOT her Prince Charming. The bad guy is worse than teh dragon. And we are NOT getting married!" I hollered.
"Bullshit!" Carrie yelled.
I shut up. "Carrie! where did you learn that word?"
"From you. Duh."
"Oh....well! That is still no excuse."
"So....Prince Charming...you gonna go give your Princess a call on your phone?"Carrie grinned cheekily.
Actually that wasn't a bad idea. Crap. "I think you should go now."
Carrie ran from my room giggling, screaming, "Bullshit! Bullshit! Bullshit!"
"JACK! WHY IS YOUR SISTER SCREAMING PROFANITIES?"
I groaned, burying my face in the pillows.
DUN DUN.....DUN!!!! :P
