Jason doesn't have a lot of peaceful moments in his life. There tends to be a lot of turbulence. It follows him like a shadow.

But his shadow leaves him when he steps into your apartment. When he comes to see you, his mind immediately quiets. Things are calm for once.

He needs you today. So he came over with a bottle of wine from the Wayne manor wine cellar and a nice necklace for you.

In return, he got spoiled. He got tea and kisses and time to hold his person. His hands, usually so violent and rough, hold you like a precious treasure. It's the ultimate luxury to hold his love. He can breathe deeper and slower. Even his generally uncomfortable digestion issues calm down. Painful muscle spasms and throbbing bruises reduce to a mild ache.

He rests. The sound of your heartbeat lulls him to sleep, if only for an hour. Oh, but it's a lovely hour. He's with his darling, and it's raining outside, and there's a nice wine to be opened soon.

This reminds him of why he started trying to heal. He's started boxing to release his anger so it doesn't bleed onto you. He'd rather face another crowbar than think that you'd be scared of him in a fit of rage. He journals incessantly so he doesn't overwhelm you. He googles and notes restaurants and places to take you to. Money isn't a worry. Making you happy is worth anything.

When he stirs, he pulls you closer and takes a deep breath. There's nothing more special to him than stealing a few hours of domesticity when he can. He never realized he could be this kind of a romantic.

A few hours later, dinner is cooking while music plays and the wine is half gone. He comes and takes you by the waist and just keeps you close for a moment. All he wants is to savor this. A moment with his love.
