Both Cynder and Dark were up unusually early, and were shocked to bump into each other.

"Why are you up?" Dark asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I could ask you the same thing." Cynder crossed his arms.

Dark rolled his eyes and pushed past Cynder, going through the portal to Lauren's place, and then out through the back door to the forest.

Cynder brushed it off and felt his pocket, to make sure he had what he needed. He was sure that he did, and he left the house.

Surprisingly enough, Shift had woken up while they were talking. Shift came out from his room, and the others soon followed.
