Everyone was asleep, dreaming about whatever they dreamed about.
Dark had actually come back for once, and went into the kitchen to get a drink before going to bed.
It's the footsteps he heard in the living room that stopped him.
He opened the door, walking into the living room. He saw a leg disappear through the portal, and chased after it. When he came through, he couldn't find the person. But the back door to Lauren's house was open.
He went up to it, staring into the dark forest out back. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a figure running into the distance. It wasn't small enough to be Unreal.
It wasn't Unreal, so Dark shrugged it off and closed the door, going back to the kitchen.
