Since he didn't respond properly, Lauren picked up the letter and started quietly reading it to Abi. 

                          
"Dear Cynder,
I have to go. They found me. Please don't blame yourself, this is my fault. I'm leaving, I have to keep you safe. Keep the others safe. I'm not letting my past kill everyone. I don't know if I'll be back. I love you so much, please stay strong without me.
