"Halloween party tonight!" Pasta whoops, running into my office.

"And what are you wearing as a costume?" I ask him, smiling.

"I'm going to be a vampire," Pasta says, hiding behind his arm as if he has a cape.

"Very cool. Fangs and all?"

"Fangs and all," he says proudly.

"What are you gonna be, Kylie?" Reilly asks, stopping by my office.

"I'm not sure yet," I admit.

"What? But the party's tonight! I'm going as Loki. I convinced Sodes to be Thor," Reilly says proudly.

"Oh, that's awesome! Do you have the helmet and cape?"

"Duh," Reilly says with a roll of his eyes.

"What are you gonna be, Kylie?" Pasta asks.

"Not sure yet. But I'll have a good costume, don't worry," I assure them.

"What do you mean you're not sure yet?" Dougie asks, pausing in front of my office.

"Exactly what I said."

"I'm going as a cowboy," Dougie informs us, and I giggle.

"I can totally picture that!"

Dougie looks at me, amused, and pretends to tip his hat to me. "Well, I'd better get on my way, but I'll see you cowpokes at the rodeo tonight."

He saunters away like a cowboy, and I bite my lip to keep from laughing.

"We have to go, but we'll see you tonight!" Pasta assures me as he and Reilly leave for practice.

Dougie walks past my office the other way and stops in to see me.

"Weren't you just here?" I ask him, smirking slightly.

"Yes, but here I am again," he says, sitting down in front of me.

"Don't you have to go to practice?" I ask, leaning back in my chair.

"Yeah, but Coach will cut me some slack if I tell him I was talking to you."

"Oh, I see."

"So you really don't know what you're going as tonight?"

"Why is this such a big deal? It's just a costume party," I point out.

"Yes, but the girls are going to be there."

"The Ice Girls?" I ask, confused.

"No, the girlfriends and wives."

"Okay. And that's a big deal how?"

Dougie sighs. "We all talk about you constantly, so they're a little on edge when it comes to you."

I roll my eyes. "Great, that's the last thing I need. A whole bunch of girls pissed at me because you guys can't keep your mouths shut when I'm doing my job."

"Hey, don't shoot the messenger," Dougie says, putting his hands up in surrender.

"So I guess my slutty nurse costume is out," I mutter.

"Whoa, whoa- slutty nurse?" Dougie asks interestedly.

I smile. "I was going to wear it as a joke, since that's what most people see me as, but I don't think that would be a good first impression."

"Probably not," Dougie agrees. "So what are you going to wear?"

"I honestly don't know. Maybe I'll go as one of you guys."
