Ayesha POV
So today was Wednesday and school was going great so far. I was in a sorority club called AKA, and I loved it. All the girls from homeroom where in there, plus Brittany and that Zia girl. It was almost lunch time and I was putting my stuff in my locker. I was about to put my books away when I saw a picture of me and my grandma. I smiled. I shut my locker and I saw Stephen walking down the hall towards me. I giggled to myself a little. The last time we really talked was a t his practice Monday when he mentioned the moment we had outside. Ever since then it's been pretty dry conversations. He walked to me and we exchanged hugs. I stepped back and he smiled.
Stephen: Where you heading?
Me: Lunch, what about you? Shouldn't you be getting a lecture from your coach?
He chuckled.
Stephen: Nah, he let me off easy today.
I giggled.
Me: Oh, ok.
Stephen: You wanna go get some subway across the street?
I smiled.
Me: Yeah, sure.
I adjusted my crossbody purse and walked down the stairs and out the doors with him.
Stephen: So how's your day so far?
Me: Exhausting, I was ready to fall out during fourth hour.
He laughed.
Stephen: Yeah? What happened to going to sleep at eight?
Me: Well, I'm trying to write a report on what it means to be a true independent woman for AKA, I have two projects that need to be done on Health 101, and I still have to remember the my song for choir.
We continued to walk down the sidewalk.
Stephen: Wait you mean, "My god is awesome?"
I giggled.
Me: Yeah, you doing it?
Stephen: I'm not sure yet should I?
I shrugged my shoulders.
Me: Yeah, that would be fun.
He smiled.
Stephen: We'll see.
I smiled and we crossed the street walking into subway. We ordered and he payed for it and we say down at a table outside.
Me: I told you I could've payed for me.
I said biting into my sandwich.
Stephen: And what type if gentlemen would I be if I let you do that?
I giggled.
Me: I appreciate you Steph, really.
He smiled while eating his sandwich.
Stephen: Why you say that?
Me: Well, because there's not a lot of guys out there like you. You're nice, funny, cute, and you have a relationship with god. Not a lot of men are like that.
He smiled.
Stephen: Thank you, I particle that from you too. You know girls no a days are thirsty, an plot on getting a ring from a dude that plays ball just to in the spotlight. You're not like that.
I blushed.
Me: Thank you.
We continued to eat.
Stephen: And don't think I let it slip that you called me cute.
We laughed.
Me: Well you aren't ugly.
He chuckled.
Stephen: Thanks I guess?
We laughed.
Just then I saw Zia walked up to us out of no where. She sat next to Stephen while he frowned.
Zia: Well hello guys, what are talking about?
I frowned not knowing why she would just get in our conversation.
Stephen: Zia what are you doing?
Zia: Babe, I didn't know you were going to subway? Why didn't you get me anything?
Hold up, did she just say babe? I thought he said they weren't together?
Stephen: Excuse me?
She reached for some of his chips and ate one.
Me: Uh, I gotta go. Bye guys.
I said getting my trash and throwing it away. I heard Stephen call my name but I ignored it and wakes back to the campus. I couldn't get mad at him for lying because I didn't know if he was lying, and that wasn't my boyfriend so I couldn't feel any way either. I walked across the street and got back to campus.
Brittany POV
I was eating my lunch alone because Ayesha was no where to be found. I tried texting her nut my phone had no service. I saw a guys sit across from me. He was tall, had blonde hair and cute lips.
I looked at him.
Me: Hello?
David: Hey my names David and I'm new here. I saw you sitting alone and I thought maybe you were too.
He smiled.
Me: Uh, no I'm not. But welcome David.
I said smiling.
David: Oh, I'm sorry to mess with you.
He said about to get up.
Me: Wait, you don't have to go I mean it's cool. I don't bite.
He laughed.
David: Cause I didn't know where I was going.
We laughed.
Me: Well I'll be down in a few minutes, I'll show you around. I mean only if you want me to.
David: Ok, yeah that's great.
We smiled and I finished my food.
I got up and he followed behind me.
David: So how long have you been here?
Me: Ever since freshmen year.
David: Oh, ok.
Me: What year are you in?
David: Sophomore.
I smiled.
Me: Good me too.
He laughed.
David: What are you studying in?
Me: To be a RN. I want to work with doctors and stuff.
David: Oh ok.
We continued to walk.
Me: What about you?
David: I want to be a Pro NBA coach.
Me: Oh really?
David: Yeah.
He said smiling.
Me: Ok, I see you.
We laughed. I saw Ayesha walking up the stairs. I called her name out and she turned and looked at me.
Me: Follow me.
I walked up the stairs and gave her a hug.
Ayesha: OMG, you wouldn't have guess what just happened.
Me: It better have been good since you left me.
Ayesha: I'm sorry but it was.
She looked at David and smiled at me.
Ayesha: And who is this?
I turned and faced him.
Me: My bad. David this is Ayesha, Ayesha this is David.
They shook hands.
Ayesha: Nice you meet you David.
David: You too Ayesha.
Me: David is a new student in our grade and I was showing him around.
Ayesha: Oh, well I'll catch up with you later.
