Ayesha POV
After Brittany finished her food she left to her next class. I had two free periods so I decided to stay and get my work done. I was highlighting the main sentences and main vocab words I needed to learn for this unit. I was reading a sentence in my head when I heard a familiar voice call my name.
"Ayesha"?
I looked up to Stephen with a tray of food which made me frown.
Me: You got seconds?
He chuckled and sat across from me.
Stephen: No, coach held me up so I came down here late.
Me: Oh.
He began to take a bite of his nuggets.
Me: Isn't your food cold?
Stephen: Kind of, but I'm good.
I grabbed my bookbag and pulled out some Cool Ranch Doritos. I put it on his tray.
Me: I know this isn't the best lunch, but it's something to hold you up. You shouldn't have to eat cold lunch.
He frowned.
Stephen: I'm not about to eat your chips.
Me: Why not?
Stephen: Because their yours, and I told you I'm ok.
He said smiling.
I opened them for him and motioned for him to open his mouth. He did and put the chip in his mouth. I closed his mouth and he chewed. I smiled.
Me: And I said you shouldn't have to eat cold lunch.
He finished chewing and drunk his soda.
Stephen: Wait why are you still here?
Me: I decided to finish my homework now instead of later.
He had this silly smile on his face.
Stephen: So you can come to my practice?
I laughed.
Me: Actually, me and Britt decided on signing up for sororities. So I wanted to finish my work.
He frowned.
Stephen: Why don't you want to come?
I giggled.
Me: I would love to watch you practice, but I have other things I gots to do. I told you maybe next time.
I said smiling.
Stephen: Im going to hold you to that.
We laughed and I shrugged my shoulders.
Me: Fine with me.
Stephen: So you meet anybody other than Lenn?
Me: Yeah, some girls.
Stephen: And?
He asked motioning for my to continue while he ate the Doritos.
Me: It's these girls named Lauren, Lamia, Brooklyn, and Kristina.
He frowned.
Stephen: Oh.
I giggled.
Me: Why you say that?
Stephen: Say what?
Me: "Oh".
