Chapter 4.2

Stephen POV
Me and Ayesha were walking out to our first period class. I remembered on her paper it said she had health class first so I thought I would take her there. I didn't have that class first, but I know Brittany probably would have the same schedule. We walked up to the door and I stopped her.
Me: Uh, I'll see around lunch time?
She giggled.
Ayesha: I know you didn't walk me up here and this isn't your first period.
I chuckled.
Me: I wanted to make sure you got up here safely.
I said smiling.
Ayesha: Stephen your going to be late.
I frowned.
Me: No I'm not, the bell rings in three minutes and my class is just down the hall.
We looked down the hall to see a big group crowding up.
Ayesha: Which I think you should get to because it's getting crowded.
She said laughing.
I laughed
Me: Yeah, I'll see you later.
She smiled and I jogged down the hall.
Brittany POV
I was in first period waiting for Ayesha to walk in any minute now. The bell would ring in two minutes and I hope she wouldn't be late for her first class. My stomach growled. I was hungry as ever and I couldn't wait till lunch. Just then Ayesha walked in. I called her name and she sat behind me. I turned and faced her.
Me: Finally, where were you?
Ayesha: Stephen held me up at the door.
I gasped.
Me: Wait Stephen? What were you guys talking about?
Ayesha: Nothing, he just said he would meet me at lunch.
I cheesed which made her roll her eyes playfully.
Me: Ooo, don't get to comfortable yet though. He's talking to Zia again.
She frowned.
Ayesha: I keep hearing about this "Zia" girl. Who is she exactly?
Just then Zia, Lauren, Lamia, Brooklyn, and Kristina came in laughing. The teacher followed after them.
I whispered to her.
Me: The one with the black hair is Zia.
She looked over to them sitting down and smiled. Which made me frown. I was about to say something when the teaching started talking me made me turn around.
"Ok everybody today is going to be 101 health. This is not high school so I won't be taking it easy at all. Get your textbooks out from under your seats and read unit 1."
Zia: But that's like a whole five chapters.
I rolled my eyes. And pulled out my text book from under my seat.
"Thanks to Ms. Spleen, you'll answer the questions after the chapter too."
I frowned while everybody sighed.
"Excuse me? Is that groaning I here?"
The whole said no mam. Everybody started reading and taking notes while Zia and her clique passed notes. I used to be Zia's friend but she turned on me in freshmen year of college. She tought I liked Stephen because I would always text him and call him and go over his house. But we were just friends I promise. It was never anything like that, I would never do that my "friend". But after people filled her head with those rumors she and her clique decided on spreading rumors on me. Saying I wasn't so "Virgin Mary", and how I would go to hell because I was a "whore". It was social Suicide for me. The only people out of her clique that didn't partake in it was Brooklyn, and lamia. Lauren and Kristina stayed laughing in my face about the rumors. That's when I met Ayesha and she was new and nice so when I going out she was coming to Davidson I was so happy. She's so nice and sweet and funny. She's not your typical "Christian girl", but she's humble to god and blessed for everything she has. She's not a little Thot like most of these girls are. And she's really caring. I looked back at her and she was taking notes and highlighting stuff from the textbook. I turned around and got back to my work before the teacher said anything to me.

Ayesha POV
It was finally lunch time and me and Brittany were inline getting our food. After we got it we decided on sitting outside and eating our food not by everyone. Today was going great, I met a couple of new girls and a guy named Lenn. Stephen told me he was gay but I wanted to get to know him more before I judged him. It wasn't my place to judge him.
Brittany: So how's your day going so far?
Ayesha: It's going great actually. I've met a couple of people in my homeroom.
Brittany: Let me guess Lauren and her "pack".
She said making air quotations. I laughed.
Me: Why? What you got against them?
She shrugged.
Brittany: It's not like I got something against them, I just don't like them. Or some of them.
Me: Why not?
She sighed.
Brittany: Well to make a long story short. Zia thought I liked Stephen and she put out rumors that I was a "whore".
I gasped.
Me: Oh my gosh.
Brittany: Yeah and Lauren and Kristina jumped on the bandwagon and made stupid rumors.
Me: Wow, that's childish.
Brittany: Very, but it's cool I don't talk to her and she don't talk to me so it is what it is.
Me: Wait, what about Brooklyn and Lamia?
She shrugged.
Brittany: They cool but they hang with her so I don't really talk to then like that.
Me: Did they talks about you too?
Brittany: No, they ain't say none for all I know.
Me: Oh.
Brittany: But to give you a heads up, watch them. Their sneaky and conniving.
Me: Ok, I trust you.
She smiled.
Brittany: Me too, which is why I trust you'll tell me when you saw Stephen this morning?
She said with a smirk which made me laugh.
Me: We are in the same homeroom.
Brittany: Oh really? So how did that go?
Me: It went normal.
We laughed.
Brittany: Incant wait till he drops Zia for you so you guys can be together.
I gasped.
Me: Woahh there buddy. I'm not worried about any boys right now, let alone him dropping a girl for me.
Brittany: It'll happen, I just want I be in   you guys wedding.
We laughed.
Me: Whatever.
We continued eating our food.
Me: He asked me to come to his practice.
She smiled.
Brittany: Aww.
Me: I'm not going though.
She frowned.
Brittany: Well why not?
I sighed and smiled.
Me: I have homework that needs to be done and I don't have time for distractions.
Brittany: You have two periods of no class. I'm sure you can get it done in time to stay after.
Me: I don't know, my mom told me to come home after school so we could talk about my day.
Brittany: Just text her and say your staying to see about clubs.
Me: But that's lying.
Brittany: No, I was staying to see about sororities after school today you can come with me then we can watch him.
I sighed.
Me: Fine I'll text her.
Brittany: Yay!!
We laughed.
Stephen POV
I was just getting down to lunch because coach decided to lecture me about showing up to practice early. I'm not a bad student but I get why he's so hard on me. I walked into cafeteria to see everybody walking out. I frowned and tried to look for my friend Mason.
I found him talking to Zia and I walked over there towards them.
Me: Hey's guys.
Mason: Wassup Steph.
He said dapping me up.
Zia: Hey Stephen.
Me: Wassup Zia.
Mason: Aye man I gotta go to class I see y'all later.
Me: Aight.
He left and I was about to walk away when Zia called my name. I walked back to her.
Me: Yeah?
Zia: You got practice today?
Me: Yeah but it's only a shoot out today nothing major.
She smiled.
Zia: Mind if I bring my crew with me to watch you?
Me: Uh, I don't know I kind of already invited some people it light be to packed then I won't be focused.
She frowned.
Zia: Who did you invite?
Me: Just some friends.
Zia: Oh well I guess tomorrow?
Me: We don't have practice tomorrow.
Zia: Wednesday?
Me: I have church.
Zia: Thursday?
Me: That's usually the day I get up on my work.
Zia: Oh well maybe next week, if that's fine with your schedule?
Me: Well see.
Zia: Wow, you really don't love me any more.
I sighed seeing where she was taking this conversation. This was the exact way we ended our convo on the stairs before I saw Ayesha.
Me: Look, I gotta go eat.
Zia: See you around.
Me: Yeah
I said walking away. We were growing apart and whether she liked it or not I think I was done with this relationship. It's getting old.
